TOP 3 JUAN IN A MILLION REVIEWS
I love this place. It has sentimental value for me as I’ve made many memories here with family and friends when they come to visit Austin. It was one of the first places my wife brought me when I first came to Texas. I always get the same thing, the Don Juan with two extra tortillas and coffee. (I do think I’ve ever tried anything else. ) The staff is always friendly and attentive. If Juan is there you can always count on a slapping handshake and a “thank you for coming.” This is one of those places where you come back not just for the food, which is great, but how it makes you feel. Did I already say, “I love this place?”
This restaurant is a MUST if you are in the Austin area! The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. I had the Don Juan breakfast burrito and got 2 extra tortillas to make extra burritos from it. Two people could easily share it and it was less that 7 dollars. Yum!!!
Great little hole in the wall taco shop. We came here for lunch and it did not disappoint. The lunch special was so filling! The chicken was juicy and the meat was tender. Sweet tea was refreshing.

TOP 3 GUERO'S TACO BAR REVIEWS
We were a party of 4 there to enjoy a late lunch. Everyone ordered something different and each of us were beyond happy with our meal. We also enjoyed delicious margaritas! Our server was great and made every effort to please us. I really loved the authentic decor as well. Will absolutely go back.
Love the tacos here! Also devoured a bowl of Queso. Try the brisket tacos!! Place is bustling with people, and there is such an elective mix of decor and plants it feels like a different world when you step to escape the heat. Service was great too!
Wasn't spicy enough, but still delicious and lovely to go to! I adore all the decorations on the wall, makes the place that much more atmospheric. The frozen margaritas were delightful.

TOP 3 MATT'S EL RANCHO REVIEWS
I came to Matt’s El Rancho for lunch on a Monday. I was seated immediately and within minutes I was served a hot plate of delicious food. I saw they had a sign saying they were celebrating 71 years of being in business. After dining with them I’m not surprised that they’re still a beloved establishment adored by many. I ordered the beef fajita lunch plate. The portion size was quite generous and came with two flour tortillas. The beef was tender, juicy, and there was way more than you could hope to stuff in two tortillas alone. Everything on the plate was tasty. The tortilla chips were fresh, hot, and quite substantial. They were nothing like those cheap tortilla chips that disintegrate the second you try to scoop something. The salsa was a great consistency and had a nice level of spice. Overall I was satisfied with my visit to Matt’s El Rancho and could see myself coming back any time I’m in the mood for Tex Mex. In my opinion they are the gold standard of Tex Mex restaurants.
Pretty great Mexican cuisine spot off South Lamar! Was very packed though, but it’s not uncommon. The food was also pretty good. Definitely try their tampiqueno platter and their green enchiladas. Shoutout to their server, Joshua, for providing an amazing experience for our whole group!
Our waiter recommended the blackened red fish and the asadero taco. We ordered bith and loved it. It's crowded, but that's part of the fun vibe.
