POOR RICHARD'S CAFE REVIEWS
Excellent service and food portions for the money - especially in this inflationary economy! Simple, basic decor fitting business name. Only recommendation is some music for a more welcoming atmosphere and help mask conversation and kitchen noise. Will definitely go back! Wheelchair accessibility: Wide open aisles so easy for wheelchair movement.
Man... If you had a long night and need some good food, this is the spot! I get the king's breakfast because I want a taste of salty and sweet. Chicken fried chicken and gravy are delicious and filling as well. You will be coming home with leftovers.
Excellent food and service. Nice price. Pecan Waffle Breakfast was a good choice.

NORMA'S CAFE REVIEWS
Had breakfast at Norma's Cafe (15th in Plano, just west of Central) today, definitely an old school vibe. The food - Fluffiest scrambled eggs ever, home made biscuit, loads of thick center cut bacon, community coffee(!!) and good hash browns that needed 30 more seconds in the skillet (still good). Price about a buck or three lower than others in the area. A strong recommendation for this place as a breakfast destination in Collin County. Allegedly great pies but, too early in the day for me.
I had the fried catfish, okra, and THE BEST onion rings I have had in a very long time!! If you go, you HAVE TO HAVE the onion rings!!! If you don't get the o rings ypu will be missing out!!! The batter was fried to perfection!! The cornmeal fish light and fluffy and really tasty and piping hot. I told my wife " why don't we come here more often??"
This place is the very best of diner/down-home cooking. I was there for Brunch last weekend. I ordered the spinach omelet, and it was fantastic! Everyone in our group was happy with their meal. The place was busy, and the other diners all seemed to be having a good time. If you haven't been, you should try it!

1418 COFFEE HOUSE REVIEWS
We stopped by after dinner for dessert. Our party ordered the Triple-Berry Tart, a Chocolate Chip Muffin, and a Gluten Free Brownie. Since it was evening, we did not order coffee but I wish we had. The coffee drink menu looked so tempting and the aroma of coffee was enticing. Bagged coffee is available for purchase. We need to go back in the morning. What I particularly liked was the vibe. Customers stayed in the restaurant to enjoy their coffee or meal. Some customers were visiting, some were typing on a laptop. It was not noisy like Starbucks. It is a beautifully restored older building. Check out the tin tile ceiling. I could see spending hours here, sitting in a comfortable sofa, and sipping coffee.
Great ambiance, coffee, and brownies! Randomly stumbled upon this gem of a coffee shop. 10/10 recommend! Expect to wait to find a place to sit, but well worth it!
Was long line when I get there I guess it’s popular place for sure. Coffee was great and I got an iced americano and my friends got hot latte. Both coffee and sweets was good.
