TOP 3 THE VILLAGE CAFE REVIEWS
Cozy diner like restaurant with an extensive menu full of comfort food. Service was pleasant, food was served hot and quick. The poutine was tasty, with mozzarella cheese replacing cheese curds and diced ham slices added. The Ranch dressing, served chilled and on the side, hit especially well, best ranch I have had in a while. The spaghetti with the chicken Parm was a little mushy and not Al dented, but that's what you should expect from a dinner serving comfort food. The green beans that accompanied my son's chicken fried steak seemed to come from a can. But my son LOVED them green beans. The portions were very generous making this place a great value. No wonder it seemed to be doing well in this college campus location.
Visiting Richmond for the day so we stopped by for food here first, and it was awesome! I had a super specific craving for a cheesy hot dog baked potato and the server was happy to make it happen, and it was SO good! I really appreciate the flexibility, it was delicious!
It was a great and welcoming experience. It was very busy during our time there, but the server was very attentive. The price was fair and the food was delicious.

TOP 3 MOORE STREET CAFE REVIEWS
Made reservations for 13 top this past Thursday for lunch for a team event. The owner was very accommodating and friendly service from being greeted immediately as you walk into the door and our one server who was extremely upbeat and efficient provided exceptional service to our entire group. She did not miss one beat!! Food came out hot and fresh. We all left satisfied and we were in and out in less than 90 minutes. Thank you for this wonderful experience !!
What a great find! Call it a hole in a wall...I call it great food..strong coffee..personal service and tons of atmosphere. Whether you people watch...need the hair of the dog for recovery...or just want great food..this is it. If pretentious chain locations without a community connection and with outrageous prices bother you...then search out Moore Street Cafe.
It's a diner. It was remarkably fast! I got my food within three minutes of ordering! The waitresses were very kind, and sweet. It's not a far walk from the Greyhound bus station, and their speed is on your side if you've got some time. I'm a slow eater, and the whole trip only took me 40 minutes.

TOP 3 LAMPLIGHTER COFFEE ROASTERS REVIEWS
We got a tonic espresso, double espresso, lox bagel, everything bagel with fried egg and havarti, and sweet potato chai muffin. Everything was great- fresh, high quality, presented beautifully, and tasty. There is outdoor seating though it was nearly full on a Monday morning. Still, there's parks nearby if you want to sit and eat outside. Can't wait to go again! Vegetarian options: Alternative options for bagel toppings Dietary restrictions: Vegan spread options for bagels.
I recently moved back to RVA and hadn't been inside lamplighter in years. I'm so glad I went in before work for a quick breakfast. The Katie Bagel is literally to die for. Everyone who works there is so sweet and helpful. I'll be stopping in a couple days a week before work for a bagel and coffee.
Excellent coffee, cosy atmophere, cool people, delicious food - off the beaten track. As a bonus, just across the street there's s a lovely local design store & perfumery.
