I cannot say enough great things about A-1 Safety Chimney Services! I called them this week on a Monday with a fairly emergent exhaust flue issue and they fit me in the next day. Zach and Daniel were incredible! So thorough and professional. They walked them through every step of the way. They found a HUGE squirrel nest in my pipe and removed it same day. This was causing major condensation and rusting on my exhaust pipes coming off my furnace. They made sure everything was taken care of and even treated my exhaust flue on the roof to keep it from rusting more. Looks brand new! I know who I'll be calling for any future work! We have an old building with very fussy gas fireplaces. A-1 Safety was the company that seemed to best understand my questions about our issues and they came promptly to get it up and running a few years ago. I have had Zac come out to service it yearly and he always does a great job. This time, he and Daniel helped troubleshoot a new weird problem and had it fixed in 20 minutes. Zac and Ryan did a spectacular job of repairing our fireplace, yesterday. They were neat, precise and patient as we asked a million questions. We added the waterproofing at the last minute, not knowing we were headed to rain and snow today, but oh well. I truly recommend A-1 to anyone in need of help with their fireplace.

The glass doors kept getting dirty too fast no matter what wood we used. After the service adjusted the air wash and did a deep flue cleaning, things improved a lot. The technician also showed me a couple tricks for building fires. The glass stays clearer longer and the fire looks so much better.

Our wood insert was losing efficiency. The technician cleaned the combustor deeply and tuned it up. It’s running strong again and we use less wood. Very happy with the performance now.
