3 Best Chinese Restaurants in Reno, NV

I’m from Orange County, where I’ve had my fair share of authentic Chinese food, so I was pleasantly surprised to find The Wok in Reno delivering the same level of authenticity. I ordered from the “authentic” section of the menu, and every dish was on par with the best spots back home. The cumin beef, spicy braised beef with potatoes, and spicy boiled pickled fish were all packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. If you’re a regular spicy food eater, I’d recommend asking for extra spicy to really get that kick. Portion sizes are generous, and for the price, I felt like I got great value. It’s rare to find such authentic Chinese food outside major metropolitan areas, but The Wok definitely hits the mark!.

The most authentic Chinese restaurant in Reno. They serve things on the authentic menu such as bitter melon with scrambled eggs, which is very hard to very good for you, also serve a spicy boiled fish fillet that was spectacular. We had mayo tofu as well as twice cooked pork everything was seasoned simply and perfectly and the food came out so fast. The waitresses were so sweet and accommodating. It is very clean place, I highly recommend.

Excellent food. Often dine here for the traditional szechuan options. Family style sized portions and always delicious.

Quite the experience, the food was outstanding, out of this world, it’s hard to find lamb dishes in a Chinese restaurant, these were simply amazing, atmosphere was elegant and the sushi was an added treat. It’s not for the price sensitive, their were 3 of us and the bill without booze was $160.00 in the afternoon , I’ll do it again asap….

Excellent all the way around. I started with a cup of Hot & Sour soup. My entrée was the Black Pepper Chicken and it was a generous portion. The sauce is elegant and distinctive without being overpowering. The service and atmosphere are both upscale. This is the best Chinese food I've had in Reno by far.

I was on a business trip from out of town and was not looking for fast food. So I stumbled upon this healthier place. The food was phenomenal. They had several chili options on the side. The service was exceptional. You are seated and assigned a server. The ambiance was elegant, I did not expect this from the outside looking in. I suggest you visit with a larger group so you can share a variety of their portions. I will be back on my next trip, I definitely recommend it.
