Central Church of God was founded in January 1977 in Charlotte under the leadership of Reverend G.E. Weatherby. Four months later, Pastor Loran Livingston assumed the pastoral role. Over time, attendance at Sunday morning worship services experienced significant growth, with up to 1,600 attendees. The church underwent three expansions between 1977 and 1988 to meet this demand. Subsequently, the current property and facilities were acquired in Charlotte, with the capacity to host up to 6,000 individuals during Sunday morning services. The primary aim of the Central Church of God is to inspire individuals with the Holy Spirit, whether they choose to attend services at one of their three campuses or participate online.

CENTRAL CHURCH OF GOD REVIEWS
If you want nothing but the Truth of Christ, this is the place. The most blessed treasure in Charlotte for my whole family. You cannot be the same when you continue listening to the Spirit of God and allow Him to do the good work! The anointing of God from the pulpit/altar will nourish your soul for eternity!! Flee from Hell and get in the narrow door, I bet you would never regret!!!
We went to this church for several years with Les an Audrey Marple. Then all four of us, Les , Audrey, Terry and myself moved to Myrtle Beach SC we still all watch the sermons. Our oldest son got saved in this church and is still a devout Christian to this day! Phenomenal church, if you want to hear the truth, the word of God! Go with a open heart!
If you truly want to hear Biblical truth and teachings then you need to visit this church and hopefully you will find Central Church your home. Otherwise, make every effort to worship online each Sunday.

CALVARY CHURCH REVIEWS
We attended a Memorial service for my cousin in the Chapel at Calvary. There was ample parking and the church provided a lovely lunch for friends and relatives after the service. The only problem we had was getting lost because the church is so big.
A great Christmas Eve Service! You have to experience it to understand how good it is. The ambiance, the orchestra and the choir all add to a glorious and festive experience.
Wow! Truly blessed to enjoy the Christmas Carol Service. Great effort and Kudos to all who had put in such a meticulous program.

St. Peter Catholic Church is one of Charlotte's oldest Catholic churches, with the Society of Jesus serving the parish since 1986. Embracing the teachings of St. Ignatius, their faith journey revolves around discovering God through worship, spiritual growth, discernment of His plan, and active service to others. They passionately share the joy of the Gospel with everyone they encounter. Their church building showcases a simplified Victorian Gothic style characterized by dark brickwork. A notable highlight within the church's interior is a triptych created by American artist Ben Long, depicting Christ's Agony in the Garden and Resurrection. St. Peter Catholic Church is a thriving community known for heartfelt worship, robust lay participation, and numerous spiritual growth and service opportunities. They offer educational programs tailored to children, high school students, and adults, striving to cultivate parishioners who are contemplatives in action and advocate for justice in their daily lives.
