Holy Spirit Church is a well-known church with a rich history. Initially named Holy Ghost Church, the church was established in 1886 by Bishop Eugene O'Connell of Grass Valley, along with the help of Fr. Montgomery and Fr. Governo. One of the highlights of the church is the 15-foot wide mosaic mural behind the Altar of Repose, featuring young and old people offering gifts to Christ. The design and installation of the Holy Spirit Church mosaic were done by Isabel and Edith Pisces. The South bell tower of the church houses a large bell that was forged in Portugal and survived the fire of 1919, which was later reinstalled in the new church bell tower. The North bell tower of the church features a large speaker that plays the Angelus and other electronic and taped music. The Schulmerish Carillon Company installed the electronic bell system in 1978.

HOLY SPIRIT CHURCH REVIEWS
I have attended many Catholic churches since I moved to California and Holy Spirit church is hands down the best one I have been to. There is a great sense of community and togetherness in the community. I did not know anyone when I first attended but they had different groups after church explain their ministry and invited me to join. I started attending and felt quite welcomed. The church itself is quite beautiful and I love how active and involved the community is. There is a group for everyone if you are interested in getting invloved. If you are looking for a great Catholic church to be connected to God but also to have fellowship and community with others, Holy Spirit is definitely the Church.

Corpus Christi Church is a popular place of worship. The Church was established as a mission of the San Francisco Diocese, and in the same year, a wooden American Gothic-style church was constructed on a plot donated by the Southern Pacific Railroad to the west of the present rectory. Corpus Christi Church aims to foster a welcoming community that brings together people of diverse ages and cultures. Throughout its history, the Church has remained active in ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of its parishioners, educating young people, providing assistance to those in need, and caring for people in the community and the Church through various organizations and societies. The parish's Confirmation preparation program spans two years and is a part of their faith formation program.
