St. Anthony Church was founded in 1902 and is one of Long Beach's oldest parishes. It has 18,000 people and has climbed to 55,000 by 1920. The church is so stunning, and the altar has exquisite paintings of delicate, colorful art with amazing golden carvings. Church offers community baptisms that take place throughout the year and are typically scheduled at 10:00 am on Saturdays. It provides a free, 10-week program to help improve one's faith and to help create a life of prayer. Masses are kept in both English and Spanish. There is a two-hour pre-baptismal session.

Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church is a diverse Catholic community that welcomes everybody. It is 81-year history has expanded to serve over 1,300 families. St. Bartholomew has been guided by eight priests, three of whom participated in the concelebration along with Archbishop José H. Gómez and Auxiliary Monsignor Oscar Solis. The parish offers a program of adult faith formation offering guest speakers, retreats, field trips, and lively liturgies. Church provides a rich range of resources for the development of faith to her parishioners, including sacramental training for youth, children & adults.
