Holy Family Cathedral

This is a very good church and has been one of my favorite churches since I was a teenager. I did hear some people complain that they thought the clergy here is ‘too conservative’ but that’s what drew me to this parish in the first place and they are great people. Plus one time there was a dark winter night when I was just starting to walk home from the drawing classroom at the Thomas K. McKeon Center for Creativity at TCC down the street where I was working on an 18 by 24 charcoal composition and it started to suddenly rain heavily, fearing for the safety of my portfolio I walked up to the side of this church and ducked in the side door because of a gut feeling I had. The parishioners and clergy welcomed me and I stayed until the rain subsided moments later, saving the hard work in my portfolio from water damage. Thank you Holy Family Cathedral!

Today was my first time attending a Catholic Church I’m not Catholic but I wanted to experience a Catholic service and the service today was amazing very friendly people I went to the 8:00am and 10:00am services the 10am one was my favorite got to hear the organ playing and the message today was amazing. I will definitely come back lived in the Tulsa area all my life and didn’t know this church was here.

A beautiful cathedral nestled in the heart of Tulsa! My favorite part was the glorious altar: so detailed and intricate, made of 100% marble. Truly unexpected cathedral in a mid sized Midwest city. Will definitely be back!
