I was referred to Dr Bavishi by a friend in the medical community. Thank GOD. Prior to Dr Bavishi, I was bouncing around from one GI doc to the next. All of them wanted to give me the next "Best" probiotic on the market. They all made me worse. I knew I was a very complex case. I was looking for a GI physician, that not only was an expert in their field, but one who also thought outside the box and used the latest integrative medicine approach and techniques. That's Dr. Bavishi. Dr Bavishi identified Candida/Bacterial overgrowth, SIBO, Mold toxicity, and histamine intolerance immediately. Dr Bavishi didn't offer another probiotic because she is the only one who knew I couldn't tolerate it. To treat the GUT, you must follow a tiered approach. With the proper meds, supplements and lifestyle changes, Dr Bavishi had me feeling better in no time. Dr Bavishi is the best and I don't say that lightly. It's been five years and I'm still under her care for maintenance, follow up and the occasional tune up. If I ever had to move out of Houston, I would fly a million miles to see her. if anything for her awesome bedside manner and conversation. Her office runs like a well oiled machine as well. Excellent, Staff was very prompt on everything, Very polite, very clean and comfortable facilities. Everything went just as smooth as silk for the whole process. I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Barrientos and highly recommend him to friends and family. After seeing a different doctor this summer who wanted to do a lot of procedures that didn’t seem appropriate, I saw Dr. Barrientos who immediately suggested two possible diagnosis and within a week I had been tested for both and we had a confirmed diagnosis and action plan. Dr. Barrientos is very thorough and took my concerns seriously! 100% highly recommend!.

Over the past few weeks I have been in and out of Urgent Care with my stomach. I went in to see another Gastro doctor but I was not comfortable with him. I prayed and called Dr. Barrientos' office to see if they were accepting my insurance again, because I called a couple of years back and they were not. When Nitza said he was I knew God had answered my prayers. Dr. Barrientos is the best in his field and I am grateful to be under his care again. Nitza thank you for getting me in quickly to see Dr. Barrientos and scheduling my procedure in a timely manner.

I've just had my first visit at Dr. Barrientos' office in Park Plaza a few days ago. The staff was attentive and helpful. Dr. Barrientos was very professional and a straight-shooter - he explained to me in details about my conditions and promptly sent orders for lab work and ultrasound.
