Dr. Lazaro B. Cherem is an esteemed nephrologist. He obtained his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, Mexico, and completed his internship at Dalhousie University School of Medicine in Nova Scotia, Canada. His expertise lies in various areas, including acute kidney injury, analgesic nephropathy, autoimmune kidney disease, and chronic kidney disease. He holds a Nephrology Certification in Internal Medicine granted by the American Board of Internal Medicine. With over 43 years of experience, Dr. Lazaro is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge kidney care. Dr. Cherem has been medical director of several HD units throughout his professional life. He was the first ever medical director of the first HD unit built jointly with a native american tribe in Arizona. He is an active member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Lazaro is associated with multiple hospitals in the region and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
