I originally had a fangsmith appointment with Maven Lore, and he was absolutely fantastic—professional, skilled, and clearly passionate about his craft. The experience was unique and well worth it! Later, I visited the boutique itself and loved browsing through all the vampiric jewelry, memorabilia, and books. The selection is perfect for any vampire enthusiast, with plenty of one-of-a-kind finds. However, be aware that the prices can be steep, so it’s good to go in expecting to splurge a little. Overall, it’s a must-visit spot in New Orleans for those who love the gothic and mysterious.

I visited because I'm on a trip for family and I love vampires, so this was the perfect stop for me!! The shop is pretty small but everything was so fun to look at. One of the employees was especially nice (and cute!) and she talked with me a bunch about a lot of things in the store, our favorite books, and more. The staff being so nice made the experience even better than it already was, so I really appreciate that. I also went next door to the café, which was delightful as well. The next time I'm in New Orleans, I definitely want to visit again. Even if you've been to similar stores, there's a lot of unique offerings with the books available and the kindness of the staff makes it worth the visit. Everyone I've told about it has found it as delightful as me, so 10/10 please visit.

Loved EVERYTHING about this shop. Friendly and welcoming. I bought all my souvenirs here, everyone at work got a Voodoo pencil. And coming from Hawaii, the most expensive state to live in, the prices on their product is very reasonable.

As an LGBTQ person visiting from Houston, I'd made a pretty quick beeline to enjoy Lafitte's in Exile. This gem was right next door, so I stopped in to grab a little something to take home. The owner was a freakin' DELIGHT. (Pro tip: make his life a little easier if you're there on a super busy weekend like the Super Bowl and do some browsing before you ask if he has something. It's a small store.) And when you browse, you're gonna find things you didn't know you needed until you see them. My friend and I had a great chat with the owner, and he found me a very special Saints t-shirt in the back that I'm pretty much gonna live in from now on. Be a kind and respectful visitor (I can only imagine this kind man had dealt with so many people stumbling in acting a fool after their third hand grenade), and support this small local business.

This is a great, local LGBT business selling a gold mine of fun stuff. They've got all manner of LGBT and pride themed items for sale from t-shirts, magnets, pins, coasters, etc. Daniel is super helpful, ask him about his local gay bar recommendations! Something I also really liked was the selection of fun jockstraps and underwear from brands like Andrew Christian. Straight allies are welcome :) Come on down and support this amazing local business.

This shop is amazing! The things they have are unique and well crafted. The customer service was fantastic. The only con was I wish they had more space because I would love so many more items and it's hard to keep stock in a smaller area. Love love love. A Bourbon Street must.

If you are looking for that unique New Orleans souvenir, then look no further!! They have it all. After seeing this store all over social media, I wanted to go get my Dolly Parton merch! Stop by, you will love it.
