3 Best Hotels in New Orleans, LA

Hotel Monteleone is our go to luxury hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans. We’ve been coming to the “Big Easy” about twice yearly for over a decade and Hotel Monteleone always assures us a Five Star experience. This is a historic landmark hotel in the perfect location to quickly access all of the attractions NOLA has to offer. The entire staff is professional, welcoming and beaming with Southern Hospitality. One staff member deserves special recognition for consistent service and hospitality. Nolan is with the Concierge Bellman staff. He is a quintessential professional. When we arrived early at the hotel before check in he was the staff member who catalogued our luggage and stored it until our room was ready. It was extremely busy. When we returned 3 hours later he remembered us by name and easily and quickly retrieved our luggage. He was very polite and engaging. He asked about if we had a good flight into New Orleans and what plans we had for our stay. He left me with a “family familiar/comforting” type feeling. As we say in the Navy, Bravo Zulu, Nolan. Staying at this hotel is an experience in itself. Its rich history gives the entire property a sense of timeless charm, making it much more than just a place to sleep. The rooms are beautifully appointed, balancing historic character with modern comfort. The famous rotating bar is a must-visit — a lively, iconic spot serving exceptional cocktails. The spa is equally outstanding, offering a luxurious retreat to unwind and recharge. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for dinner during the two days I was there, but I’ll definitely make it back to try it out.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Monteleone to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Valentine’s Day, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The vintage aesthetic and historic charm of the hotel were incredible to see, especially knowing how well they’ve preserved it over the years. The staff was warm, welcoming, and always courteous, making our stay even more enjoyable. We loved the food—both room service and our meal at Criollo were fantastic. While we didn’t get a chance to grab a seat at the Carousel Bar, that just gives us another reason to come back. Can’t wait for our next stay! Highly recommend.

The staff, I can’t recall the young man’s name, is truly exceptional. He’s a bellman who provided five-star service from our arrival to our departure. I had a kidney transplant at Ochsner, and the entire staff from the lounge, front desk, and valet went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We genuinely appreciate all your efforts and kindly request that you continue to maintain this high level of service. To the young lady at the fountain lounge, I must express my deepest gratitude for your remarkable spirit. It truly touched my heart that you went above and beyond to ensure that my breakfast was perfectly prepared, even though I didn’t complain. I simply prefer my food with a bit more seasoning. Thank you all so much for your exceptional service.

Still killing it after all these years. Idk how many times I've stayed here now. Love the late night room service hours off the dinner menu. The crabcake was too good to be true. If you know how bad some crabcakes can be, (basically a fried ball of cornmeal with seasoning), come to The Roosevelt to eat this incredible gigantic crab cake that is almost completely lucious lump blue crab. Honestly nothing impresses me more than a restaurant that gives you more than your money's worth of delicious food. If I bought that crabmeat in a store it would cost the same as what they charge for it. Their gumbo is good. All the desserts are good, the beignets too. Domenica is great.

We love staying here! Very elegant hotel. Best sleep ever!! Best showers ever! Every member of the staff is so polite and attentive. Hilton members can use digital keys and the $25 credit per person for the breakfast ($31 buffet) or at the hotel (bar, shop…) We valet park for security and convenience ($57) If you want a good view from your room, make sure you look the hotel map over before choosing.
