WAUBONSIE LAKE PARK REVIEWS
Visited this park for a walk in support of Scleroderma. This park is absolutely beautiful and has easy parking. They have a beautiful gazebo, grills, a park for the kid and 2 different trails to walk around. Even the wild life around was beautiful. This is even a great location for professional photos, family pictures or an engagement or to celebrate some thing special.
Very clean play areas, with lots of equipment for the kiddos to climb on. Cool little walking/bike trail that goes around the lake. Lots of benches scattered around. Very clean covered pavilion that overlooks the lake. Even has public restrooms with water fountains.
Nice little place for a picnic, fishing, use a canoe, or just sit and relax in front of the lake. Also has a nice bike trail, fly a kite, so many things to do nice and close to home, porta potty near by, fishing is not bad, come and check it out, it wont disappoint.

OAKHURST FOREST PRESERVE REVIEWS
Beautiful place to walk, run, or bike. There's about a 2 mile trail around the lake, but be aware that it was very muddy in some places and there was some places that had about six inches of standing water. Someone put a bunch of fallen trees down so you can use that to cross if you have good balance and don't wanna get wet. I'm excited to go back and explore some more another time.
Lovely place to go for a nature walk to let your mind wander and breathe in that crisp air. This time of year is my favorite time to go with the leaves changing colors and falling to the ground. Have been here many times before but most recently walked some trails with my dad and saw a deer! Be kind to nature!
Lots of fun trails that are short and sweet. Lots of shade to rest if needed. Outdoor bathrooms are pretty good for a Forest Preserve. Lots of parking, 2 pavilions, outdoor grill, fireplace, lots of picnic benches?all around the lake and near parking.

RED OAK NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
We pulled up here and a train just happened to be passing! This nature center is always fun to explore. They have animals inside that you can study and look up close at and a lot of play things for kids. Our favorite part is exploring the trails and finding the cave next to the river!
We went here for my son’s preschool field trip during fall. Absolutely beautiful trails and great interactive and educational nature center. We loved it and will definitely be back with the whole family. The cave is also super cool.
Great for kids due to short nature trails. You can walk up to the river or gaze from an observation deck. Cute but very small cave on one of the paths.
