BOLSA CHICA ECOLOGICAL RESERVE TRAIL REVIEWS
My favorite place to go for a walk. Very beautiful and peaceful. There are a lot of different birds to see. The fish were very active and we could see them jumping out of the water. Easy walk with different trails. Lots of educational signs for adults and kids to enjoy. Parking lot is small. Weekends are very busy, I suggest going on a weekday.
Great spot for a hike or run, with raised embankments along the canal, and offshoot trails out to Pacific Coast Highway and the residential area to the south and east. Lots of bird photographers and dog walkers. Small parking lot off PCH, and next to the visitor center on Warner.
Gorgeous trail with lots of birds! Especially the ducks if you come at night. If you’re coming later in the day, bring a jacket and dress warm as it can get cold.

HUNTINGTON BEACH CENTRAL PARK REVIEWS
This is a great place to go for a walk or run. I like to take a stroll and take pictures of the different ducks, plants, and birds. It's located right next to the library, which is excellent as well! The ducks and squirrels will come right up to you because they are used to folks feeding them (please don't feed the wildlife). This park is truly a gem.
Cherry Blossom Festival ~ Huntington Beach Central Park. Great booths for shopping and lots of food choices with Japanese flare and some without. Great entertainment as you dine, shop, and play. Dogs are welcomed, and parking seems busy, but you can easily pay $1 for the day in the Sports Park Parking lot.
Coolest playground. The niece loved it and so did her uncle! I love walking around this area. So dog friendly. All on leashes and people say hi.

SHIPLEY NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
What a great little nature preserve right in the heart of Huntington Beach! There are nice trails and lots of shade. cute little lake with mature willow trees. They even have a grove of redwoods in the preserve. They have a nice little gift shop and super clean restrooms. I would definitely recommend this place if you need a quick connection with nature. Saw lots of birds, lizards, and butterflies.
This place is great. Very pretty to walk around in. They have done a really nice job with natives and have created a lot of nice little spaces. Looks like a lot of learning opportunities for kids too. Just a heads up that the entrance is not actually where Google currently says it is. It is a hundred+ yards to the west (on the inside of the park).
This is a great place to bring the kiddos to learn about the awesomeness of nature. Or just come by yourself and stroll around the trails, find a bench, sit amongst the tranquility, read a book or just watch the clouds roll by.
