“A.D. (Doug) Barnes Park is a 65-acre park that incorporates programs that support people with disabilities. The trail is 0.6 miles long and loop-type, with an elevation gain of 3 feet. The park is committed to offering two shower-equipped cottages, a lodge, and a communal kitchen and dining area. The park also features a wide green space, a public pool, a nature center, playgrounds, and hiking trails. A.D. (Doug) Barnes Park also contains a 15-acre Pine Rockland habitat with rugged limestone ground, a great place to spot zebra longwing butterflies. Public restrooms, picnic tables, playground, basketball court, barbecue grill, and wheelchair accessible entrance facilities are also available.”
