“A.D. (Doug) Barnes Park is a 65-acre has incorporated programs that support people with disabilities. The trail is 0.6 miles long and loop-type, with an elevation gain of 3 feet. The park offers two shower-equipped cottages, a lodge, and a communal kitchen and dining area. Various events are held at the lodge, which can also be reserved for different programs. The park features large green spaces, a public pool, a nature center, playgrounds, and hiking trails. A.D. (Doug) Barnes Park also contains a 15-acre Pine Rockland habitat with rugged limestone ground, a great place to spot zebra longwing butterflies.”
