“Peoria Sunrise Mountain Preserve is an ideal hiking spot featuring picturesque desert scenery and views of the surrounding valley. The trail has a total length of 4.0 miles, which is generally considered an easy to moderately challenging hike. The total time taken to complete the trail is 1 hour and 54 minutes. The elevation gain of the trail is 718 feet. The trail also features a fantastic 360-degree view once you are at the top. “East Wing Mountain Trails is moderately challenging, with an elevation gain of 419 feet over a 1.5-mile distance. East Wing Mountain Trails is located in Peoria, AZ. It has a nice hike and short mountain climb with a fantastic view of 303 and the mountains. East Wing trails are considered moderate based on elevation change and obstacles. This hike provides access to various trails, including the New River. East Wing Mountain trailheads are located inside or near the surrounding neighborhoods. Visitors can explore the top of the mountain for fabulous 360 views. East Wing Mountain Trails also has restrooms, water, and playground facilities. Dogs are allowed on the trails but must be on a leash.”

PEORIA SUNRISE MOUNTAIN PRESERVE REVIEWS

Nice hike with trails for different skill levels and great views of the valley. I took the intermediate trail strait to the top, it was challenging and fun. I look forward to trying the other trails.

Nice easy hike for families. One mile round trip gets you great views. Total trail 4 miles but ready to shorten it down to anything length depending on your kids and exercise tolerance.

My favorite system of trails in the northwest valley. Has a nice playground as well.

EAST WING MOUNTAIN TRAILS REVIEWS

Excellent hike, a bit rugged and hard if you choose to go to the top or moderate to easy if you do the loop. Both ways get you to the top for awesome 360 views. No one else was on the trail on a Saturday so it's safe to say this hiking trail is unknown to many but the views are bountiful and splendid.

We love this trail. We park at the playground and make our way to the trail. We have been hiking this trail on Christmas morning for three years. Easy enough for kids to join in. Thank you to whomever puts the Christmas tree up. It's so special to see it as we come around the corner at the top.

The trails here are well marked. The trails are not very challenging, but the views of the surrounding area from the top are great. Will definitely come back before the summer heat sets in.

I love this spot! this is where I learned to ride my bike so it will always be my special place. my 5 year old son is able to ride most trails too. great fun for the family. everyone is respectful and polite to slow girls and kids which is very much appreciated.

free dispersed camping up & down multiple parts of the road some out in wide open some much more private... many homemade rock firepits left behind..pulled in on a Thursday afternoon in late January-there were about 12 other campers/RVs throughout many acres of different sections of different gravel parking lots. We made a fire and sat down to the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my life & I've been all over the country! Come Saturday morning the place got extremely busy with a couple hundred SXS & quads & dirt bikes By 7 pm dark we were back down to just 12 or 15 boondocking rv's. You can reach hundreds of offroad trail systems from the main gravel road. Many many side trails off main trails listed on "all trails". you will not be sorry coming here. we just spent 2weeks in moab with our SXS & we actually enjoyed these trails more. some are easy and some are very difficult dangerous.

Best time to go is during the week. Free camping. Weekends are busy loud and dusty. Respect the staging area 5mph. There are easy trails and hard trails. Carry water. Law enforcement is out there make sure your tags are up to date. Do yourself a favor and download OnxOffroad for maps of the trails.
