Great place to go hiking! Beautiful foliage in the fall. This place is considered "moderate" hiking as some areas are steep. Wear good shoes! Both ponds were dried up when we went hiking. Dogs to remain on a leash at all times. Trails are not really marked but there is a map at the info center. upper parking lot is closed, must park at the lower parking lot. No passes required and parking is free. No fires allowed, only at the camp Caro place and of its a grill of sombre sort.
Love this place! Get lost in the country, hike in the woods minutes from home. Quiet peaceful trails, Well marked most of the time, Unfortunately you have vandals ripping down and destroying trail markers. Looks like most of them have been replaced so currently trails are Well marked , I do recommend bringing a trail map or taking a picture on your phone of the map at the beginning of the trail.
Went there last week, not far from us. Huge parking area, friendly hikers, lots of moss, little lake was frozen. Spend 2 hours of walking, rocks and hills everywhere. Hikers and their four leg children friendly. We didn't explore more but will definitely come back. Can't wait to see what it's look like during spring, summer and fall season.
