ILLER CREEK CONSERVATION AREA
“Iller Creek Conservation Area is an ideal two-mile hike with breathtaking views that takes nearly 2 hours to finish the trail. The park has more than 1,159 acres of picturesque, high-quality natural environment available at this unit for passive leisure activities, such as bird watching. The park has 966 acres of trails and habitat on the eastern flanks of the towering mountain, including monoliths of granite famous for mountaineers and different seasons of creeks. Iller Creek maintains a magnificent five-mile loop of lush-shaded forest and a ridgeline ramble with exceptional vistas. While walking on the trails, you can discover a lot of history. The trail follows the ridge down to the Dishman mica side of the trail. The park offers many other trails leading to some beautiful views of Spokane. Visitors can walk around the edge of the Spokane River, which has a spectacular view of the Spokane River and the Palouse.”
