I'm big on natural parks and this is definitely a top-notch one. It seems plain until you leave the parking lot and walk across the river using the foot bridge, and it just gets better as you go. We saw lots of wildlife, the trails were extremely well kept and well laid out, and there was so much to see. Definitely take some water with you, though, as it gets very hot and dry in the summer. :) On the way out, we stopped at several viewpoints for more photos, and the overlook for the actual Bowl & Pitcher is a must-see. However, I really can't see how they get a bowl or pitcher from those rocks in the river...maybe erosion has taken its toll since they were named? lol Still, I recommend this as one of the best parks I've visited in 60 years.
This area is stunning. We spent one morning on trails along the river and had the best time. It’s so quiet and peaceful, but just right outside of the city. We were about to Uber to this area and then walk back along the river to the outskirts of Spokane. So happy we came here!
Beautiful hiking trail along the river. Parking was plentiful. Never really discovered what the bowl and pitcher were. Went on a weekday and there were still a lot of people there. Took a short loop but could have hiked for many more miles if we wanted.
