We parked here to walk the trail and my kids made it about 1.25mi out (it’s an out-and-back). Beautiful place to see lots of wildlife. We saw red-winged blackbirds, a swan family, barn swallows, swamp sparrows, red-eared sliders of all sizes, a few fish including a gar, and lots of beautiful wildflowers. The boardwalk is well-maintained. Lots of shade (except on the boardwalk over the river) and lovely river views.
This park/trail is something out of the movies and to think is right in the midst of Rochester, Ny. My cousin and I didn’t get to finish the trail but for what we did do was awesome. Recommend for workout, late night stroll, day or night date with someone special, etc.
Such a fun and kind of unique trail to walk on... keep an eye out for snakes, turtles and other wildlife on the walk!
