3 Best Hotels in Oceanside, CA

We have been coming here as a family for the past 6 years, and we are so glad that we discovered this wonderful hotel. Though we have stayed at many Best Westerns around the United States, this one is exceptional. It is because of the dedication of its staff. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate us and help with any crisis that has popped up during or travel to California. Griselda has been there for us every trip, she is an exceptional manager. Recently, Jr and Carlos have helped us schedule and reschedule our stay which included many phone calls from me. They remained respectful, kind, and fixed all the weird quirks that arose. When we stay here we get a full breakfast every morning, and it is always clean, tasty, and well stocked. My kids really enjoy the waffles that they get to make themselves, and the fun cereal that they always have. The hot food varies but there is usually a variety of eggs and sausage or bacon, and usually potatoes. The culinary staff are very helpful and do a great job. 11 of us stayed here for a week at the end of April, as we were visiting from the UK for a Karate Seminar in Carlsbad. It's very clean, the service is outstanding and overall the staff are brilliant, in particular a guy named Isaia (sorry if I've spelt that wrong). Such a kind and friendly man who couldn't do enough to help. California is a long way from the UK but worth it to stay here. The bed was a little hard but a beautiful size. The room was made up every day with fresh towels. The breakfast was basic but enough. The pool area is small but again clean and enough. Great location for getting to Legoland and the San Diego Zoo. We'll definitely be back, thanks to everyone who made our trip and stay great x

Absolutely beautiful! Not a Hilton, or Marriott but this Best Western was amazing! Great complimentary breakfast, the service was wonderful and the cleanliness of this establishment was immaculate.

The hotel’s atmosphere is relaxed yet modern, with nautical accents and subtle touches that remind you of the ocean. The outdoor patio and pool area are perfect spots to enjoy the California sun, with comfortable loungers and palm trees adding to the tropical feel. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, featuring plush beds, a mini-fridge, and a microwave—ideal for extended stays or quick snacks before heading to the beach. One of the standout features is how the staff embraces the beach resort feeling, offering friendly service and helpful tips on local attractions. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to Oceanside Pier and the beach itself. Overall, SpringHill Suites provides a refreshing, beach-inspired atmosphere that makes you feel relaxed and rejuvenated—a perfect home base for exploring Southern California’s beaches.

We will definitely be coming back here. The rooms were spacious with comfy beds and we had an ocean view. Very close proximity to the beach and plenty of places to eat and shop within walking distance. Free buffet style breakfast in the morning and I loved the overall surfer vibe of the hotel. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful.

Parking garage was very squeezed in. We preferred the above ground parking. Property is nice. It was overall a nice stay. Very close to tons of stuff. Pool was nice. Above restaurant who has live music some days.
