Hotel Contessa

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. King suite was recently renovated, plenty of space for a couple and a teen. Fridge and coffee maker in suite, no microwave. Suite was very clean, and service was great. Asked for a spare pillow and blanket (for pull out bed) and received it with no issue. Housekeeping (like many hotels these days) is only every three days unless you request otherwise. The parking option is valet-only, and it is expensive by the time they add tax, fees, etc, which I would have appreciated having better defined at the time I booked. You may want to research nearby parking garages to see if you can get a better deal. Located on the Riverwalk, ten minute walk to the Alamo.

Don't let the negative reviews scare you. Beautiful hotel, we were there for one night just before Christmas. Paid for 10th floor and above, pretty evening views. I agree if you pay for the Riverwalk view, the tree tops cover most of the river but still gorgeous. Staff was super nice, efficient and helpful. Don't pay valet parking, there is a public garage on the same one way street two blocks over a pedestrian bridge left side. $10 secure parking overnight. Just drop off and go park.

Fantastic staff. The staff was exceptional. Every member went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Immaculately clean suites, delicious in-room dining, and spectacular views from rooftop pool. Our new favorite hotel on the Riverwalk. Thank you!!!!
