BAY LEAF INDIAN CUISINE REVIEWS

Probably the best Indian restaurant we had in the US. We went here weekly on Sunday where they have most of our favorite items for the buffet. The naan bread is fresh and delicious. I love to dip them with the butter chicken curry sauce and the mutton curry sauce. If you want to order an entree on their menu, I suggest the chicken Marsala - it is too delicious and flavorful! The price is a little high compared to other restaurants in the area, but we don’t mind spending a little bit more to have some delicious Indian food. The service is alright - not the best but nothing to be worried over. Again, this is our favorite Indian restaurant every Sunday.

The food was really excellent. We had tomato soup , Gobi Lasuni and Biriyani. Everything was so yummy. The restaurant has good parking facility. It’s a good spot for Indian lunch if you are driving to or from New Orleans. They have a bar too.

Great food and excellent service! The Gobi Lasuni is a must try— perfectly spicy but not overpowering. The wait staff were super friendly, and the wait for food was relatively short.

SWAGAT INDIAN CUISINE REVIEWS

Yummy! We will be back. My 3 friends and I stopped by today for lunch, on a recommendation from my cardiologist who encourages me to follow a less meat-centric diet. I wish that I had taken his advice sooner. Our food was superb. We shared the Honey Chili Cauliflower appetizer, more than sufficient for each to have a portion, and it was TASTY. Then each had a different entree of varying degrees of spiciness - we all shared a taste and there were no complaints. The naan was fantastic. Each took a portion home for dinner - my Bagara Baigan, baby eggplant, was even better than at lunch.

Today my husband and I tried authentic Indian food at Swagat, this was our first time. The food came out fast and was delicious. We had the regular chili chicken as an appetizer, which was great. My waiter Hari was friendly and attentive. He recommended I get the butter chicken spicy and it didn’t disappoint! My husband got the spicy curry lamb. We will definitely be coming back!

Finally made it to check out Swagat and 100% understand the hype!! We had a table full of delicious food and I can’t wait to go back. Hands down the best goat I have ever had. Everything was delicious and the staff were great.

I’ve been going here for years because they have the absolute best Indian food in BR! I’ve been to all the other Indian restaurants in the area and the food here tops all! The food comes out in a timely manner and there is never a wait! The price may seem high but it compares to the other local Indian Restaurants. I’ve taken multiple first timers here and they all become obsessed with the food!! I’ll definitely continue coming here and introducing more people to it!

The lunch buffet was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I can only imagine what their actual menu consist of!!! Mango lassi is something you NEED in your life!!!!!! They employees were so kind i love it there!!!!

I came to Baton Rouge with my sisters and we were craving Indian food. This was the closest by and I’m so glad we passed. I came and there is a buffet and the food was delicious and fulling.
