MELA MODERN INDIAN CUISINE REVIEWS

I visited Mela Restaurant with five friends this weekend and tried their weekend unlimited buffet and wow, what an experience! Hands down, the best Indian buffet in Boston at the most affordable price. From the moment we stepped in, the aroma of authentic spices welcomed us. The buffet had a great variety 4–5 delicious appetizers like idly, veg samosa, chicken kebab, and spring rolls each item fresh and full of flavor. For the mains, goat curry, chicken tikka masala, baingan bhartha, Aloo cholay, Paneer Saag, and chicken tandoori were absolutely top notch. You could taste the love in every bite it honestly reminded me of my mother’s cooking. The surprise addition of pav bhaji and pani puri made me feel like I was back in India for lunch. And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, the dessert section had gulab jamun and rice pudding (kheer), the perfect sweet ending to a heavenly meal. Whether you’re an Indian food lover or trying it for the first time, Mela is a must visit. It’s not just a meal it’s a trip to India on a plate. Highly recommend!

Visited Mela for a delightful Indian feast, and it did not disappoint! We tried the samosa chaat, paneer chili, dal makhani, and paneer makhani—all bursting with authentic flavors and spices. The naan was perfectly fluffy, and each curry had a rich, comforting taste. To top it off, we absolutely loved the house-made mango ice cream and the badam kulfi, which added a sweet and refreshing end to the meal. A perfect spot for anyone craving a true taste of India!

I have been here twice for the weekend buffet. There is a variety of options for appetizers, main course, sides and the taste is nice and suited for Americans (very mild spicy). Service is very good and ambience is great.

INDIA QUALITY RESTAURANT REVIEWS

This gem is near the top of our Quality-per-Dollar index. The place has a cozy yet elegant feel, and the staff are kind, attentive and dedicated - and the food is wonderful. Northern Indian cuisine, like other cuisines of India, benefits from the incredible variety of herbs and spices available in the region, and India Quality reflects that. The experience of the food is in the taste of it, a result of the centuries of wisdom that go into the spice combinations, plus the care and dedication of the staff. As cuisines go, Indian food's focus on the taste and texture, but not so much the look of it (that's true of all Indian and Himalayan cuisines...photos of Indian food are never much to look at), and never the whole story. You have to experience the subtle explosion of textures and flavors in your mouth. Another great feature of Indian cuisine is that they've created a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian options. It's possible to load up on supremely tasty plant protein here. The most remarkable thing about India Quality is the pricing. It almost seems as if their menu prices froze in the '90s - there are appetizers for under $5, and everything is really tasty and great. Go! You'll love it.

What a value. Butter Chicken was well-spiced, definitely get it “hot”, very tolerable by American standards. Lunch came with papadam, 3 chutneys, masala chai. Garlic Naan was lovely as well. Prices are super reasonable, especially for Boston. Big portions too.

We ordered lamb biryani and it was great. They serve three types sauces (not sure if they were sauces though) but they were delicious with food. Highly recommend this place.

PUNJAB PALACE RESTAURANT REVIEWS

I ordered on uber eats and the chicken mushroom curry is incredible! Some of the best Indian curry I’ve ever had. The mild version had the perfect light kick. The portion of curry was generous but if you would like to share between two people I would recommend getting an extra side of rice. The rice is very tasty too. New favorite spot! Can’t wait to try more items.

Wow really I’m surprised!! I ordered the best chicken paneer masala with rice bowl and 2 pork bread and another bowl of goat carry with rice and 2 pork bread all of that was for 31$ with the appetizer and the best service , I loveeed it strongly recommended.

Lunch combo is a great deal for some delicious food. Mango lassi slightly watery for my taste, but I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb masala and rice.
