we really enjoyed our experience for restaurant week. we got two spicy soups — the texture was surprisingly viscous. the thalis were our favorite — we each got one veg and one meat. they are the best value because you can taste so many things. i thought it was a nice touch that the veg thali had an extra dish built in to account for value compared to the meat one. we loved the naan too. the lamb was so good and the chana masala. and for only $1 you can add wine to your restaurant week menu! we had a great time and the service was great too.

pleasantly surprised at the quality of food for the buffet. their curries were fantastic, and the chicken tikka masala was my favorite - perfectly flavorful and creamy without tasting too salty or heavy. the tandoori chicken was also tasty, and i loved that servers were so attentive that they came to offer more when they noticed we finished our dish.

Hubby and I came here for the first time for a different experience. Our waiter Sankel was awesome. He was very attentive and explained everything in detail. The food was excellent. We will definitely be back for the lunch buffet.

Amazing atmosphere and vibe! Spent a few days in Chicago and was pleased to find this place close to my hotel. Took a friend to enjoy some classic Indian dishes and this place did not disappoint! Was pleasantly greeted by the owner who served us himself, made us frozen passion fruit margaritas and brought an extra element to the whole experience. We had the assorted appetizers, butter chicken, rice, garlic naan and can’t forget the best part, the lamb chops! Deff recommend the lamb chops! They were perfectly marinated and spiced. Thank you for a great experience!

We went for the lunch buffet and the variety was great. The goat curry and veggie samosas were delicious! The Naan is made fresh and served warm and was very soft and buttery. The atmosphere is bright and inviting and the imagery on the walls was gorgeous. Definitely recommend if you find yourself downtown.

We came for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed our meal of Butter Chicken and Rice. The soup and garlic name were delicious. The food was flavorful with the perfect mixture of seasoning. Our server Suraj was very kind and professional, making sure we were well satisfied with our meal and dining experience.

Wow, amazing experience! Visiting Chicago for a conference and picked this spot randomly as it was close to the hotel. We were completely blown away by our experience! The restaurant is super clean and the ambience is great. We shared the grill special for two, which came with lots of different things to try. All of it was absolutely delicious. We especially loved the butter chicken. The portion size was huge and the both of us will be able to enjoy the leftovers for lunch tomorrow as well. Above all, the service was phenomenal. Maidi was our server and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. Even if the food hadn’t been so delicious, I think we would have gone back anyway for her wonderful service. She was the best. Looking forward to our next visit!

The food was incredible, each dish was packed with flavor. The chicken Tandoori was super tender, the biryani was full of spices, and the curries were just the right amount of creamy. Plus, the naan was soft and fresh. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. The staff was so friendly and made sure everything was perfect without hovering. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure I had a good time. If you're looking for some great Indian food and great service, I definitely recommend giving Maharj Indian Grill a try!

Really nice Indian restaurant in downtown Chicago. Food was delicious and service was exceptional. Our servers Chhavi and Agnelo were very friendly and attentive. They kept coming to our table to ensure the food was to our liking and if we needed anything additional. Highly recommend if you are in mood for delicious Indian food.
