CARMINE'S ITALIAN DELI REVIEWS
I am new-ish to the neighborhood and I've always been meaning to come in, but my job works a little later and I've never been able to catch the restaurant during their hours. I came in yesterday and ordered a prosciutto mozzarella sun-dried tomato balsamic sandwich and I can tell you hands-down that I almost cried because it was so delicious. I went back to the counter and introduced myself and I met Carmine himself and he welcomed me to the neighborhood and said to come in anytime and then he'll take care of me and that he has anything I want in terms of home groceries. he asked if I liked lentil soup and he packed me a cup of soup to go. i'm coming back and I'm bringing all my friends. A class act and an example of what a great business should be!
You literally need to stop by!! it’s a must! i had the eggplant parm with penne a la vodka, delicious. Best one my husband and i EVER had. the cold sandwich’s are huge. everyone is so kind and you can tell they put love into their craft! 10/10 recommend!
The real deal! Delicious Italian subs and all sorts of specialties. Highly recommended!

ROMAN NOSE REVIEWS
On a busy Friday night we sat at the bar and our bartender was very attentive. He made good cocktail recommendations (blood orange Spitz and the Italian Manhattan) while we waited for our food. The spaghetti gamberi (I think that's the name) was delicious as was the zucca pizza.
I have often visited this restaurant. This is my favorite Italian restaurant at Grove street. They have a cute outdoor sitting. I absolutely enjoy their Spaghetti Cacio e pepe and cheese pizza with Pinot Grigio(vegetarian alert). I enjoy their tiramisu as well. Staff is very friendly and polite.
Great food! I would say it’s the best Italian in the area, but it’s really one of two in the whole downtown, so that’s not saying much. I’ve been many many times and the staff is honestly outstanding. The carbonara, costolette, and meatball sandwich are all really delicious. I feel the dishes are priced appropriately and the bar, while small, encompasses an impressive range and certainly doesn’t fail to satisfy. Give this place a try for a simple but pleasing taste of Italy in the downtown JC area.
