Gyu tan (grilled beef tongue) is soooo good. Anything eel related is amazing. Yaki Onigiri also really good. I would highly recommend reserve ahead of time to avoid waiting. This place is really popular and there’s likely a long wait if you show up without reservation. I used google to reserve and google assistant called to book for me. The booking was really easy to do.

The biggest difference compared to izakayas in Japan? Last call is at 8:30 PM -- way too early! Most izakayas in Japan stay open until midnight or later, so this felt a bit rushed. That said, overall it was a solid experience, and the bill was lower than I expected for the amount and quality of food. I'll definitely be back -- just a bit earlier next time.

The food here is incredible! Portions are large, I way over ordered but was happy to eat leftover steak, mentai pasta and crab and egg for lunch the next day. The garlic steak is a sleeper - highly recommend. Got there on a Thursday around 630pm, put my name on a list, and waited outside for about 15 minutes.

RAMEN SEAS REVIEWS

Fabulous, friendly, and fast Ramen Seas is an island of home cooking style Japanese food, exactly when you need it! Staff are cool and friendly, the place is cheery but not cheesy, a great spot to have that lunch or dinner with family and friends, or even saché up to the bar to have your noodles for one. I opted for the traditional Japanese curry, which was so smooth and delicious, it disappeared too fast! Good standard Japanese beers and sake on tap. Go ahead and eat here, it's an easy win.

Used to come here before Covid after shopping the farmer market. They changed the menu a bit. Like the ramen you used to get a roll slice of pork but now you get a chunk of stew pork. Still the good flavor. Also they have rice bowl now which is nice. I usually order the oyster fry too. They make it so nice here. Great dipping sauce too.

Really nice atmosphere and service. Ramen tasty, starters also good. Good place to go.

Great place to get Japanese food. We managed to get a last minute reservation for 5 on a Saturday evening so that was great. I love how many options they have. They have every Japanese dish I love. I got the Deluxe Meshi which had everything I love about Japanese rice bowls: It has salmon, eel, AND fish eggs. We also got the Yakiniku Don (grilled beef rice bowl), Chicken Nanban (basically chicken Karaage with a different sauce), and Agedashi Tofu. And the food was delicious. The portions for the rice bowls were also bigger than I expected so they were very filling.

Nice izekaya with a variety of dishes. We came here because of the Fugetsu association and had originally been only intending to eat pork okonomiyaki, but saw the broader menu selections. We ended up also ordering the unagi meishi, udon, agadashi tofu, tempura, and tekka making. Everything was delicious.

Great find in Sunnyvale downtown. Service was quick, the sushi was fresh and the dishes were flavorful.
