Slave Haven Underground Railroad Museum is one of the greatest forced migrations in history, with millions of Africans traversing the Atlantic from the 16th to the 19th century across the terrifying Middle Pass. You can learn the historical secrets of the past that have been lost for over 100 years. They obtained from the State a historical plaque honoring it as a historical landmark. Tourists can visit the tunnels that escaped slaves used to stop at this property, one of Underground Railroad stations. Heritage Tours is a tour company in black history founded in 1983. Group rates are available.

Woodruff-Fontaine House is a 16-room country house built in 1870 with period furnishings and mannequins showcasing the fashions of the day. This magnificent French Gothic mansion was designed in 1870 along Millionaires Row. Their mission alive through continuing conservation programs and awareness through special interest group visits and regular collections and exhibitions rotation. It has more than 4,000 items in its collection, from wedding gowns to undergarments. The first floor of the house is open to the elderly, and facilities for accessible toilets are available. It offers self-guided tours. It affords free museum parking.
