GRACELAND REVIEWS
I have not been to Graceland since the mid-90s, but I am so glad I went back! While the house is truly a 1977 time capsule, the real amazing experience (in my opinion) are the museums across from the house, from his vehicles, military gear, the artifacts from the house over time, and stars that were influenced by Elvis. If you only have time for one, however, the museum about his incredible career over 3 decades is really something to see. Original contracts from RCA, family kept records, every piece of clothing / suit walls and the 3-story tall gold and platinum awards wall did not disappoint. It was the last thing I saw in my experience and I was simply blown away by the impact.
If you are an Elvis' fans, this is the place that you should visit. I never regret that I have insisted to make this trip, although I needed to drive 18 hours to go home. When you walked through the buildings of Graceland, wearing the headset they provided , you would be touched by the Elvis songs when you were walking around his sitting rooms, dinning room , the basement, the trophy rooms, the museums, the garden.......You could feel that Elvis was still around us. A great experience in visiting this place, it has become like a theme park. You can understand how he had become the King of Rock & Roll ! It's amazing to see all the awards and trophies that he had won. Getting on his 2 planes experience is something you will never forget. I wonder if I could go to visit it again, because it's really too far away for me.
Didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised!! Absolutely loved to experience. The house was an absolute time capsule! We spent 4 hours walking around the grounds and museums. We almost didn’t stop because we thought it would be cheesy. Nope! It was fabulous.

SLAVE HAVEN UNDERGROUND RAILROAD MUSEUM REVIEWS
A great place to visit while in Memphis and one I definitely recommend to others! Small, intimate tours are given by caring staff members, including a trip down to the actual cellar where slaves entered and sought shelter on their way to freedom. Tons of memorabilia, interesting local history, and powerful stories of our country’s very dark past make it a very emotional (but educational and meaningful) visit. No photos are allowed inside.
It was absolutely moving. As you walk through listening to the narration of the curator, the hair on the back of my necks stood up. Knowing that I was standing in the footprints of those that come before me to make that great passage of the Mississippi River. Absolutely must see!
My husband and I attended a 1pm tour and we were not disappointed. The knowledge and facts of our history told here was appreciated and understood. If you haven’t been it’s a must. Affordable wisdom that is truly priceless.

Woodruff-Fontaine House, erected in 1870, is a mesmerizing 16-room rural residence nestled in Memphis, embellished with period furnishings and enhanced by mannequins showcasing the fashion trends of its time. The mission of the Woodruff-Fontaine House Museum and its associated properties is to enlighten the public about Victorian life in Memphis by preserving them. This splendid French Gothic mansion on Millionaires Row is a stunning example of architectural magnificence. In 1962, the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities intervened to rescue the house from decay, embarking on a meticulous restoration project that reinstated its former grandeur. The association's dedication to preservation and conservation is demonstrated through ongoing programs, educational visits by special interest groups, and the regular rotation of collections and exhibitions. To offer an immersive experience, self-guided tours allow visitors to explore the enchanting spaces at their own pace. WOODRUFF-FONTAINE HOUSE REVIEWS
An amazing home mostly restored and the quality and quantity of period furniture, linens, dishes, toys, dolls and so on was simply incredible. A must see! We were greeted at the back door, given a brief history of the two primary owners. The host checked on us multiple times to answer any questions. It was great to see all three floors and the tower all open to be viewed! A great spot to see a historical mansion! I would have preferred a fully guided tour but it was quite spectacular.
Visited during the Victorian Christmas Open House. What a beautiful home! Decorations were lovely and great attention to detail. The volunteers were friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of exhibit information also provided via scan codes, and printed/posted details providing educational opportunities. Looking forward to visiting again.
Beautiful house. Brief history of the 2 families. It was decked out for Christmas tastefully done. I wish there was a print book/pamphlet of the families with some of the diary entries. And other info like how many rooms. This is self guided and every room must be scanned.
