"Riverside Heritage House showcases a Queen-Anne Victorian-style house built in 1891-92 for Mrs. Catherine Bettner, the widow of an early citrus pioneer. The museum started as a collaboration of associates of the Riverside Museum, a volunteer support organization for the Riverside Metropolitan Museum. Visitors can enjoy a 45-minute tour of the mansion and properties conducted by Victorian Dress educators. The museum provides wheelchair access, with an on-site team member or volunteer available to assist with the wheelchair lift located on the side of the house. A gift shop is available on-site, which offers an impressive selection of books and merchandise that reflects the house's design. Parking is accessible on-site at the back of the house lot, and admission is free.

"Jensen Alvarado Historic Ranch and Museum is operated by the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District. The museum was originally built by retired sea captain Cornelius Jensen and his wife Mercedes Alvarado in the early 1870s. This landmark ranch preserves the essence of farm life from a time when citrus farming was not yet prevalent. Riverside County has dedicated a 30-acre historic farmland oasis, which was once a vast ranch. The museum features historical exhibits and the original ranch house, which are suitable for all ages. RIVERSIDE HERITAGE HOUSE REVIEWS

We had a wonderful experience touring this beautiful Victorian house, great job preserving it and allowing us a window into that era... Margaret did an amazing job explaining the history and provided tons of information as well as leading our tour. We will definitely come back in the near future to experience other programs, by the way, there is no charge for the tour but they gracefully accept donations.

We had an amazing time on the house tour with the best tour guild we have ever had. Her way of speaking, walking and even her tone made me feel like I was living in that time. I loved the story behind the home and the home owner. Highly recommended. The have a parking lot in the back of the home.

Such an amazing tour. Wow the furniture is so authentic. Everything original. Nice to hear the story's joy and sorrow.This lady had to endure the loss of her son and husband. Gude Margaret was amazing at telling the story and explaining with details.

JENSEN ALVARADO HISTORIC RANCH AND MUSEUM REVIEWS

My son and I came here exploring for his project. Online, it said it was open, but upon arrival, we were told it was closed and only open to scheduled field trips (this should be fixed). But to our benefit, we ended up being accommodated. We were given an amazing tour of the house and winery, and we are able to feed the horses and donkeys. The tour guide was exceptional, and the staff on site were welcoming as they went above and beyond their duties.

Funny seeing the new buildings that have been added over the years. My Grandparents' were caretakers of that ranch in the 80s and early 90s. Spent many of weekends and Holidays walking the ranch and seeing the History. North east side the backs the neighborhood has a small creek that I used to catch crawfish. Lots of good memories on that ranch. Its a must see for the younger generation to learn how far we all have come.

Very interesting place. It was worth taking a look around and imagining what life would have been like on a farm. Old buildings and old tractors were there so you get a sense of what it looked like back then.

Because of my own foults i got to bring hundreds of dollars to the courts and stil i havent learn my leson i just think of it like im feeding the judge and clerks that worlk there but then i see them so hot walking to there desk and i get so turn on thag i say to my self look she going to be needing panties soon. So go get another traffic ticket so she can affort to buy another.

i can't really speak much about what goes on in or around this building. i can only speak on having some beautiful architecture like this tucked away in riverside. i've never really driven through here and i was so happy to have done so today. it's worth it to stop by here for a few minutes and take a look around.

Friendly staff and were kind enough to help without even asking especially the security guard. Isiah behind the windows was really chill and friendly as well.
