" Burpee Museum of Natural History's main aim is to engage people in a lifetime of learning and discovery about the natural world through preservation and interpretation. The museum was established by Harry and Della Burpee. The museum is open to the public inside the historic Barnes Family Home. Burpee Museum of Natural History has four floors of exhibits suitable for the whole family. They offer field trips for schools and hands-on workshops. The workshop includes making fossils, water quality testing and invertebrate analysis in the water lab on the Rock River. They also offer homeschool programming. The museum has a main parking lot. Wheelchairs are available for free.
