Since 1935

Specialty:

Golden Gate Street Performers Historic Bridge Live Music River Walls Walking Gold Leafed Cupola Parking Services

"Tower Bridge was completed in 1935 and is a vertical lift bridge built across the Sacramento River, recognized as a famous landmark. The bridge was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, after being designated a historic landmark in 1951. The bridge has also been known as the M Street Bridge. The bridge links West Sacramento in Yolo County to the east. The California Department of Transportation maintains the Tower Bridge. The bridge reflects a rare use of Streamlined Moderne architectural style in a lift bridge, making it an excellent social and architectural expression. The bridge provides access to the Tower Bridge Gateway by car, bus, bike, and on foot.

2026 Highlights: Tower Bridge was painted with a silver aluminum paint under a special work order, and in June 1976, as part of Bicentennial projects, it was painted a yellow-ochre color to match the gold-leafed cupola on the nearby State Capitol."
