One of the most interesting house tours in all of Savannah! We enjoyed learning the history of the home and the basement ‘enslaved persons experience’ portion of the tour was very eye-opening and thought provoking. Admission to this home tour includes access to the Telfair Art Museum as well as the Jepson Museum so we utilized that as well and thought it was a good value for the cost.
Excellent historic building and tour. Our guide was excellent, with deep knowledge of the property owners and the enslaved people. The information both on the tour and the signage attempt to provide a balance between the wealth and exploitation during the 1800s. Well done conservation and restoration.
Very informative tour of the house. We enjoyed it. Plus there was this adorable cat in the quart yard that met us in the gardens before and after the tour. Super friendly and a highlight for sure.
