Lake Mayer Park is the most versatile park in Savannah with many different options for sports activities. It has two pavilions available for rent, eight lighted tennis courts, lighted basketball courts, 1.5 jogging/bicycle paved track with a fitness course, freshwater lake, stocked with fish, boat ramps, fishing pier. The place is a mainstay for many citizens who seek recreational activity. Lake Mayer Park offers savannah sailing center, karate classes, remote control car races, tennis instruction, and summer camp. Handball practice court and handicap access are available.

Daffin Park is one of Savannah’s two huge recreational parks in the historic district. It holds lots of walking trails, 80 acres of grass for multiple types of areas, and is also home to the Grayson Stadium. The park is used for city leagues for football and soccer during the fall and spring, as well as for high school games that use the park’s Optimist area for soccer and football. Daffin Park has a public pool and an ideal for soccer, rugby, or football.
