"Forsyth Park has large, famous fountain, historical monuments, a fragrant garden, and expansive green spaces. Forsyth Park hosts free shows every month and is a place for concerts during the Savannah Jazz Festival, as well as the destination for all kinds of festivals and special occasions throughout the year. Forsyth Park has a Confederate memorial, a half-shell theatre, and basketball courts. The park also offers large live oak trees that provide ample shade for visitors. The park has two children’s playgrounds, one for littles and another for bigger kids. There are concerts conducted at Forsyth for the benefit of the people.

2026 Update: Forsyth Park combines quiet garden spaces with large open recreational lawns, making it suitable for both relaxation and active recreation. It features a specialized sensory-focused garden known as the Fragrant Garden, designed to provide an enhanced experience for visually impaired visitors. Frequently used as a filming location for movies, television productions, and photography because of its historic scenery and oak-lined avenues."

"Daffin Park has many walking paths and 80 acres of grass for multiple fields. The park also serves as the home for Grayson Stadium. The park is used for city leagues for soccer and football games during the fall and spring, as well as for high school games that utilize the park's Optimist Field for football and soccer. Daffin Park features tennis courts, monuments, kids' grounds, jogging, picnics, stone benches, waterfalls, green space areas, event conducting, open space, playgrounds, tables, shelters, statues, fountains, and swings. A public pool is available for recreational swimming.

2026 Update: Daffin Park has large open grassy areas, making the space flexible for multiple athletic and recreational uses. The venue is actively used by city sports leagues during spring and fall seasons. The park has historic character and modern recreational functionality. Its connection to Grayson Stadium increases its importance as a sports destination in Savannah. The area is considered one of Savannah’s primary outdoor activity parks within the historic district."

FORSYTH PARK REVIEWS

This is one of the most beautiful city parks I've ever experienced! The beautiful tree canopy here is truly amazing. The large monument and ornate found in compliments the landscape perfectly. There's plenty of room here for everybody to stretch out and enjoy large fields or relaxing under the shade of the trees. Local artists items for sale as well making for a nice community experience overall.

Walking in and around the park you become drawn in to the peace and serenity of Savannah. The moss hanging from the trees, the beautiful flowers and landscaping, the many people there to walk, play, gather, and just immerse themselves is contagious. The busyness of life fades as you drink in its beauty and calm. It was by far the best place to visit!

This park is beautiful! All the trees and so much space, plenty of room to have a picnic. There were some street vendors who were lovely too. Very peaceful areas and some with a bit more going on, a lovely little space to relax and watch the world go by.

SKIDAWAY ISLAND STATE PARK REVIEWS

This park was the highlight of our trip to Savannah. We found it because my daughter is sloth obsessed and Google AI said the park has a life-size skeleton replica of a ground sloth. They have a very nice, but small nature center with several live snakes and turtles and a huge ground sloth skeleton. The playground was super fun and well maintained. We also took a two mile hike down to the river, the trails are well maintained and clearly marked. The employees were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Amazing experience, we did the 3 miles trail which was really nice for the day we come, it was cloudy, so we didn’t suffer a lot with the heat! The park is well taken care of, we were able to see a small rabbit and crabs, there are birds and very beautiful view of the marsh. Highly recommended

Nice wooded State RV Park. Well maintained, clean and manicured. Fishing with required GA fishing lisence, sheltered picnic tables for larger gatherings, walking and biking paths, large parking lot, very nice camp store with gift items, clothing, local art & pottery for sale. Very helpful & friendly staff. Event calendar for scheduled nature events. Reservations recommended here many months in advance. No RV washing in this park. All animals must be on leash.

DAFFIN PARK REVIEWS

Nice park for a walk or run. Mile marker signs posted for convenience. Even though it’s close to the main road, it’s not very loud. However, one side of the park is near the fire station and that could get loud at times of an emergency. The park has a waking trail, dog park, playground, basketball court, and I believe a pool. The fountain is also gorgeous and has benches around it for seating. Be careful with little ones around the pond. Oh, it also features a huge lot of green grass for whatever you’d like. Such as, soccer, running, star gazing, etc. people bring their dogs out on a leash as well. Lovely park.

Nice accessible park! Visited from out of town and I have driving anxiety in cities and this park was very easy to navigate. I felt safe here. my son loved the toddler swings and the smaller slides! Great for toddlers.

It is always a pleasure going to Daffin Park,,, plenty of space,, plenty of activities going on,, get to meet and see the Bananas baseball team,,, and there's a outdoor Personal trainer out there with tons of equipment and clients training.
