Forsyth Park has over 30 acres of parkland and features a cafe, ample room for sports, two playgrounds, and events. The park is home to the Farmers Market every Saturday. Forsyth Park hosts free shows every month is a place for concerts during the Savannah Jazz Festival and is the destination for all kinds of festivals and special occasions throughout the year. Forsyth Park has a confederate memorial, a half-shell theatre, and basketball courts. Further into the park are two children’s playgrounds, one for littles and another for bigger kids. The city’s most famous fountain was installed in 1858. From time to time, there are concerts conducted at Forsyth for the benefit of the people.
