Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark

Sloss Furnaces is an outstanding example of a historical site that has been restored to be an educational tourist site. The site is full of informational plaques to share the history not only of the place, but also its impact on the city. If that isn't enough, it is also a site known for paranormal activity for all you ghost hunters. I have personally seen light orbs and had anomalies appear on video. Whichever interest you have, paranormal or historical, it is a great place to visit with the entire family.

Such a cool place and even better that it’s free! You can take as much or as little time as you want. The map for the self guided tour is slightly hard to follow, but if you wander around you will hit all the stops. Highly recommend!!

This is a great place to learn history of the area and what was made there in the past. Great for kids, people visiting the area and anyone really that likes history. You can tour the whole factory. This concluded a great time in alabama.
