RAILROAD PARK REVIEWS
Even if you’re from out of town and are just looking for a place to walk around and absorb a little beauty & character of Birmingham, this is a lovely place to spend some free time. Plentiful street parking (yes, parallel, but these are the largest parking spots I’ve ever seen!!! You could fit a truck). Even the drive to get here was scenic! First time in Alabama, never knew this place was so beautiful.
Beautiful park, especially when the flowers are blooming. We went to the Greek Festival and brought the food to RR Park to tge nice picnic area. There were children all around playing and people walking their dogs.
This park is very beautiful to walk around as the walking paths are well maintained! The views of Birmingham are spectacular while enjoying a good walk! I highly recommend it when visiting Birmingham!

KELLY INGRAM PARK REVIEWS
Incredible place to learn about the civil rights movement. There is an interactive tour that is accessible by telephone. The stories and the sculptures are humbling. I didn't expect to feel as heavy as I felt. I also met Stanley who is in a wheelchair. Stanley offered to show me around. I found it best to walk in a clockwise direction. I highly recommend visiting the park as the civil rights was not that long ago and it effects you whether you recognize it or not.
Wonderful, heartfelt experience. Loved that you could scan each area to get detailed information. The artist(s) are absolutely amazing. I've visited many monuments, the details are life like. MLK actually looked like himself. You have to check out the Civil Rights Museum while you're there.
Worth the trip. Love the dial in audio walking tour. Really immerse you in the momument and gives you a sense of the times. Powerful, inspiring and heartbreaking to this day.

AVONDALE PARK REVIEWS
Avondale Park is fantastic. My family has been there countless times. There's lots of space to walk, a lovely pond with waterfowl and a gorgeous small amphitheater. This time we were there to enjoy the Get Down with the Firehouse Community Arts Center, where Birmingham's young musicians can learn how to perform. My son takes drum lessons there and loves it. Students got to play today and it was super fun. Also, this urban park is located in a fun part of the city with several breweries, restaurants and bars within easy walking distance. One of our favorite spots in town.
This is one of my favorite parks. Close to where we live and the small lake and surrounding wooded area attracts lots of birds, including the occasional rarity. I visit there at least monthly. The walking path around the lake is flat, paved and easy for anyone to navigate. There’s a well maintained play area, a ball field and multiple picnic tables, including several pavilions.
Beautiful, spacious city park!! I was here for the annual Blues music event and they had great vendors/activities for the entire family!! This park has multiple entries, walking trails, a lake, and amphitheater.
