Saying well established would be an understatement considering they’ve been in business since 1933 as posted on the outside if the building. After many failed attempts trying to get a lost key cut for a 1982 Toyota Celica Supra Finally Elgin Key & Lock had the experience and tools necessary to cut a key from a code. They are conveniently located in downtown Elgin behind the Police Station. I was very pleased with the service and the price was very reasonable.

I brought them the key cylinder from my car ( it was constantly sticking), they took it apart, cleaned it and replaced a wafer. While I was there I had copies made and they explained how to program them too. Tremendous knowledge and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Made duplicate keys from a poor original; identified and corrected the issues; keys worked great.

Worked great the first time with 5 keys! Very convenient if you don’t need the keys immediately. You make them on the self service machine in a store, then wait about 3 days for them to arrive in a secure package in the mail. Excellent experience and I loved the colored key choices to keep things organized.

Responds right away. I ran into a problem trying to replace entry door knob and deadbolt myself so needed a quick response before a holiday weekend. They arrived in aprox 20 mins and in under an hour all locks replaced. The price was more than reasonable. Cheaper than 2 other Elgin places I’ve used. Would highly recommend.

I need assistance from a worker at the store where I purchased my keys when making them, I was very happy however with the Quality of the keys themselves.

Valley Lock is the best. It is great to be able to use a local company and to support a local St. Charles business. They offer excellent customer service. They are very knowledgeable and offer up great solutions. I have had the opportunity to use their services on many occasions for both residential re-keying/lock changes/keys duplication and commercial for larger scale projects that required master keying, etc. They are prompt, courteous and reliable and I would highly recommend them.

Great family-owned local lock company. The guy who was behind the counter was so knowledgeable about locks. We had a 110-year-old lock that he helped us out with just the education and learning about the lock was fantastic.

This company went above and beyond to help with one of our door locks. I highly recommend them. Great customer service.
