Kimberly was our 3rd marriage counselor. Yes! We had been working that incredibly hard to mend what was broken! She was the only one that could help us navigate such an incredibly difficult situation. Before Kimberly, our brokenness was palpable, thick, & the worse experience of our lives. We tried for 2 very hard years to mend what was broken. From the very first visit with her, that was the first time we felt some relief. Her ways can, on a rare occasion be unconventional, but it worked! So how can you argue with that?! In my experience and associations, we as women, tend to be more for the counseling than the men. My husband walked out of each session a little lighter each time. His guilt wasn’t so heavy. Once we understood what got us go the point of where things went wrong, understanding and compassion came for both of us. In the future we will always go for “tuneups”. It feels great to be back to our olds selves, and great to be our new selves! Remember, it’s cheaper than a divorce!
