2026 Update: El Paso Museum of History is dedicated to presenting information about the past 1,000 years of history in the Mexico-United States border region. The Museum spans over 16,000 square feet of exhibition space. El Paso Museum of History's galleries feature traveling exhibitions and several permanent exhibitions, and have a collection of over 10,000 documents, images, artifacts, and personal stories that chronicle the growth of El Paso, which is one of the largest border metroplexes in the world. El Paso Museum of History also hosts special programs and has a permanent digital touchscreen wall and a traveling wall. The museum offers free admission.

2026 Update: El Paso Museum of Archaeology features a collection of permanent archaeological artifacts reflecting 14,000 years of prehistory in the El Paso area. The Museum displays artifacts that include various trade items, 800-year-old agave fiber cloth, pottery, jewelry, and other items such as pre-Columbian art and objects from Mexico. El Paso Museum of Archaeology's series of dioramas provides an insight into the ancient history of the region. The museum attracts around 42,000 visitors annually. The museum hosts the Annual Franklin Mountain Poppies Fest, which provides flowers, activities, food, and wildlife encounters.
