"El Paso Zoo spans a 35-acre complex and is home to over 220 types of animals, including native species and endangered animals. The zoo promotes the importance of animals and natural resources. People are encouraged to rediscover their affinity with nature by visiting the zoo. The zoo has a huge green space with unique creatures from all around the world, as well as family activities like the African star train and the Hunt family's splash pad. The zoo provides a 360-degree view of the local environment, four slides, a wild tunnel, log climbers, and cargo netting for children of all ages. The El Paso Zoo celebrates the importance of animals and natural resources while also offering people opportunities to connect with nature. The zoo is an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The zoo offers free admission for zoological society members and children ages two and under. Guided tours are also available.

2026 Update: El Paso Zoo prohibits guests from entering animal exhibits or reaching past exhibit barriers. This policy is in place for the safety and well-being of the animals in their care as well as guests visiting their facilities."

"El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center was founded in 1994 by Holocaust survivor Henry Kellen, which is dedicated to teaching the history of the Holocaust. The museum is a monument to the millions of people who were violently murdered between 1933 and 1945 by Adolf Hitler and the Nazi government. The foundation is a nonprofit organization guided by a dedicated board of trustees, four employees, and hundreds of devoted volunteers. Visitors to the museum can learn about the Holocaust through the museum's permanent display, which includes several multimedia galleries that recount the events of the Holocaust. The museum's galleries are available in English and Spanish. In addition to Holocaust lectures, speaker events, a summer camp, educational seminars, and an annual Holocaust commemoration, the museum offers year-round programs. You can enjoy and learn from El Paso Holocaust Museum and Study Center with free admission.

I had an amazing time at the zoo with my family and friends. Well worth it especially for us since we live in Las Cruces NM. I give the El Paso Zoo a 10/10. I would come back over and over. Although I wish we had a Zoo in Las Cruces. Maybe one day I hope. Thank you El Paso Zoo and botanical Gardens.

I love going to the zoo and this time I went with my family. The place was clean, the bathrooms and café spotless. El. Paso zoo it's a great place to spend the weekend, so fun looking at the animals.

Beautiful day at the zoo. Most animals were out and the exhibits seemed very open to give animals lots of area to roam. Some areas were undergoing improvements but still was a lot to see.

This completely free museum in DownTown El Paso, TX is a MUST GO, you hear me! There is no point in not going, you have NO REASON to skip this experience because it's ABSOLUTELY FREE! Get your family together, from toddler to waddler, and get yoself out to the museum! It's super inspiring to see art live, in living color, and at scale. It inspires you to keep doing your thing and makes you realize that it takes TIME to create.

Loved this free entry museum!! We took our time looking at every piece and it was better than museums we’ve paid for! The Selena features were unexpectedly informative and added an extra personal touch connecting it to such an icon who’s performed in El Paso. Would definitely come again.

Fabulous performance brought in by El Pado Pro Musica- The Mike Block Trio. Bonus is getting to tour the art museum! Always interesting art to take in.

Incredibly powerful and moving experience. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped by the gravity of history, with exhibits that are both educational and deeply emotional. The museum provided a comprehensive look at the atrocities of the Holocaust and the harrowing stories of those affected. The layout of the museum is set up through different rooms that are emotionally impactful. It is a somber experience, but one that leaves a lasting impression and inspires reflection. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about the Holocaust, its survivors, and the importance of remembrance. 5 stars without a doubt.

This museum has enlightened me and informed me of the genecide done to the Haitian by the Dominican Republic president Trujillo so he felt obligated to take in Jewish survivors to cover his act in Haiti. Wow I didn’t know.

Great place to get to know about this stories event, I went on a Wednesday and it was free, it's like 5 minutes away from San Jacinto plaza if you go walking.
