Ascarate Park is the most extensive public-use recreational park in El Paso and is dedicated to sports, fishing, picnicking and other recreational activities. It has over a 48-acre surface lake, lakeside boardwalk, fully-equipped aquatic center, playgrounds, and picnic facilities. The Aquatic Center plays host to two of the most extensive swim meets each year as well as being an excellent amenity for families large and small during the pool’s operational season. The Lake allows visitors to take in the sights via pedal boat and canoe rentals.

Eastwood Park is also known as Album Park, and it is a popular walking spot with sports facilities, a dog park and a skate park. There is plenty of shade and lots of obstacles and things for kids to climb. The park has racquetball courts, jungle gym, basketball court, and weight machines. Eastwood Park provides lots of places to have a party. There is a gym inside the park, that offers monthly membership discounts for senior citizens.
