I love school of rock for my 12 year old. He’s never played before and so far he loves it! He has so much fun at his lessons/rehearsals. The staff and instructors are all super awesome with the kids. I’m so glad I found school of rock. Especially now with the quarantine going on, we are still doing lessons remotely with his instructors and it’s pretty cool! My son enjoys it as well. Thanks so much to the staff there for making it tons of fun and being so amazing with the kids! Y’all are the best.
My daughter absolutely loves this school! She has a blast playing "with the band". Couldn't believe how fast she learned so many songs on guitar. She now wants to learn all the instruments. Staff is super friendly, fun, and engaging. I signed my younger daughter up for piano as well! Highly recommend Otay Ranch School of Rock.
My 10-year old has been taking drum lessons at SOR, Otay Ranch for two months and is LOVING it! His instructors Brian and Isaac are both very knowledgeable and teach in a very clear and engaging way. Everyone here loves music and it is awesome to hear so much going on in the classrooms. The parent area is clean and bright. Overall really great experience for my child and others, judging by their big smiles when they finish with their lessons. So happy we found this place.
My daughter has been taking piano lessons from Mr. Bill for about 10 years. She has always, and continues to, love her lessons. Mr. Bill is a wonderful, patient teacher who, by sharing his passion for music, has helped my daughter develop not only her musical skills, but her confidence as well.

We had a great experience here! The staff was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. They took a look at an alto sax my husband bought on FB marketplace and let us know what was working, what could be fixed (with timeframe and price estimates!), and even walked through the best way to care for it. They also helped us find the best accessories he would need (reeds, strap, cleaning kit) to get started.
Exceptional service! I recently bought a used saxaphone and took it in to get reeds and ended up talking to the music repair/maintenance guy for 20 minutes. He looked it over thoroughly and tested it for me. Said it was in solid playable condition but there were a few pads I would want to replace in the near future. I bought a cleaning kit and neck piece as well. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and good selection. Highly recommend.
Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Worked very quickly on two repairs I brought in at the same time (compared to any other shop I've ever tried). On a separate occasion they hooked me up with a small piece of hardware I lost from a bass guitar.
