MARK E. ANDERSON, MD REVIEWS
Back in 1996 I had major spinal surgery at Irvine Medical Center by Dr Mark Anderson. I did a lot of research on doctors before I had the surgery, 10 years. I was young and didn’t want to be subjected to limiting my active life style. Besides the fact that Dr Anderson was highly recommended I found him to be a no nonsense doctor. I knew that everything would be done to the best of his ability. I knew he would cover and he did cover all the huddles I would have to over come during my recovery, not just mine but my families. He went over long term situations that might come up as I go through the aging process. I’ve had no major problems and no long term pain. Most people can’t believe I’ve had spinal surgery and my scar was very clean and hardly noticeable. 25 years later I’m still not dealing with pain from that surgery. If your not going with Dr Anderson because he’s serious and at times doesn’t seem personable then you should reconsider because he is one of the best neurosurgeons in Southern California and I would and have recommended him. Thanks Dr Anderson for your years of dedication!
Doctor Anderson may not have the greatest bedside manners but he’s the best at what he does. I had two fractured vertebrae’s he fixed and every single doctor that’s looked at my X-Rays from my surgery back in 2008 can’t believe how straight and magnificent job he did. I was lucky my pain management doctor knew him because the waiting list was 3 yrs.. that says a lot about his skills as a surgeon in my book. He was a little intimidating at first but he was very professional. I understand many folks have bad experiences and a lot of doctors don’t know what they’re doing. It took me 13 doctors before I got to Doctor Anderson who looked at my MRI and gave me and answer in 5 min which no one else could do. My surgery was In 2008 and my neck is great to this day!
Dr. Anderson was my surgical neurologist for two surgeries I had. Both brain surgeries I felt in extremely competent hands. Dr. Anderson is a gifted doctor who made me feel extremely well cared for. I feel he made my recovery almost seamless. I went from being a bouncing 32 year old wife and mother of two to a brain surgery recipient and back in about 3 months time. I am a walking testimony of his excellence in surgical neurology if you ask me. ;) thank you good doctor. Thank you to his amazing staff/front office. I loved when I was recovering in the hospital how all of the nurses highly respected my doctor and came in to tell me how amazing he is. I'm thankful, very thankful, that I had the good fortune to have such a doctor aide me in my time of need. I had Arnold Chairi malformation and I also had a shunt placed for Hydrocephalus.

PAWEL P. JANKOWSKI, MD - ONE BRAIN AND SPINE CENTER REVIEWS
Struggling with Degenerative Disc Disease, arthritis, and scoliosis, my life changed in 2020 when I became severely disabled. In my search for a skilled surgeon, Dr. Pawel P. Jankowski stood out. His immediate focus on my critical cervical spine condition, which I was unaware of, showcased his exceptional expertise. He performed life-saving cervical and lumbar/thoracic spinal surgeries, restoring functionality to my paralyzed right leg and preventing paralysis. His subsequent surgeries corrected my scoliosis, bringing me back to full health. Dr. Jankowski's skill, coupled with his compassionate approach, literally handed my life back to me. He's more than a neurosurgeon; he's a life-saver and miracle-worker. I'm immensely grateful to Dr. Jankowski for giving me a future I thought I had lost. His care has been a true blessing.
I am a musician, and When I came to Dr Ozgur my left hand had stopped working. I was shocked, and wondered if I would ever be able to play my guitar again. They found I needed a cervical spine fusion, which was performed over two days and went off flawlessly. My thanks to Dr Ozgur for excellent surgery, to Jordan for being there in recovery, and the rest of the staff for their caring attitude. After a very successful set of surgeries I am able to play my guitar and perform again with no problems.God knew I needed a superior surgeon, and that’s why I got you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Danny Wilson.
Medical issues are not fun to deal with. However if they arise, having a superior practitioner such as Dr. Ozgur makes the experience much easier. His calming influence, obvious expertise and his staff made my experience and outcome more than I expected. The months of evaluation and the eventual minimally invasive surgery on my spine resulted in the full elimination of severe symptoms of pain and numbness immediately upon surgery completion. Further comment is redundant except to say I could not have wished for more. Spouse. About a year ago my husband seemed to be heading to a walker or a wheelchair. Dr. Ozgur initiated evaluations and subsequent treatment for spinal stenosis that culminated in minimally invasive surgery on his spine. The results are stunning. All pain and numbness were gone immediately. There are no words to describe the regard we have for Dr. Ozgur and his very competent staff, and the appreciation we have for his professionalism and caring manner.

JASON A. LIAUW, MD - SADDLEBACK MEDICAL CENTER REVIEWS
Dr. Liauw is a phenomenal surgeon. I came to him after suffering from what was a torn or collapsed disc in my L5/S1. I had low expectations thinking that he would review my MRI and just tell me to do physical therapy. But after reviewing my MRI he suggested a disc replacement. He gave me all the information and didn’t push surgery at all, he wanted it to be my decision. Since I’m young (32) I opted to do the surgery because I didn’t want to wait until it got worse and I was very confident in my ability to recover. The surgery went incredibly well and I felt relief almost instantly. Dr. Liuaw worked with Dr. Teng, a vascular surgeon, to perform the replacement through my abdomen. The recovery pain was so much more manageable than I expected. My back pain before was much worse, so surgery was a cake walk. Upon writing this review I’m almost 8 weeks post operation and I feel amazing. I went for a hike with my dog yesterday and I’m able to return to yoga. I still have a ways to go with my flexibility but I am extremely happy with the results and feel like myself again. Thank you Dr. Liuaw for a life-changing surgery.
My husband had great success with Dr. Liauw meticulously handling his back surgery fusing three lower discs in Nov 2022. Not that I would suggest this...within two weeks of the surgery and one day after staple removal he drove himself straight through from Orange County, California to Summit County, Colorado and has not even been back in town for a recheck. Now in 2024 and he has no pain and is as good as new according to elated compliments to Dr. Liauw. Thank you more than words, you put Humpty Dumpty back together again in the most professional way!
After dealing with massive lower back pain that was debilitating and negatively affecting my life, I was referred to Dr Liauw. He performed an Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion L4/L5, L5//S1 and fused L4-S1 with Laminotomy and Discectomy. A lot of words, but it worked! Life is good again!! I highly recommend Dr Liauw and his staff, especially Physicians Assistant's Taylor and Hailey, their follow-up and Post -Op care was excellent. The surgery was done at Mission Hospital and the care their was first rate. Don't put this off if you need the surgery, sounds scarier than it was. Dr. Liauw is the surgeon to see!!
