Akron Zoo is a 50-acre non-profit zoo. It has more than 1000 animals, including tigers, penguins, lemurs, and jaguars. The zoo Gardens have over 7,000 plants and flowers. They are committed to providing outstanding educational opportunities to their zoo guests. Currently, the zoo occupies 77 acres, of which 35 acres are developed with exhibits, guest amenities, and support facilities. Your membership helps feed and care for over 1,000 exotic animals, including grizzly bears, Sumatran tigers, African lions, Humboldt penguins, Komodo Dragons, etc. It has over 400,000 visitors annually. Members can get free parking, a free e-newsletter, a gift shop, and discounts. Akron Zoo offers free admission for children under two and its members.
