I love this park. I used to come here in my high-school years and on our visit to Ohio I took my children here. Beautiful views and trails.

Great area for birding, walking or fishing (children only fishing.) The parking lot is large enough for lots of visitors & the shelter is fantastic for hosting events or a party. Bathrooms are nearby.

Wide selection of animals and quite easy to walk most trails.

HARDESTY PARK REVIEWS

Great park. Picnic tables under a pavillion, along with a few grills for cooking. An awesome playground for the kids, and a dirt path surrounding the entire park for exercise. Great open fields for playing sports. Located right by several fast food restaurants and shopping.

This park is a vibrant community hub that attracts a diverse range of people. With regular events happening every week, it's a great place to enjoy quality time with friends and family. We've had many memorable experiences here.

Beautiful park and my new favorite in the area! It has an awesome playground and lovely grounds.

CASCADE PARK REVIEWS

We have visited this park a few times over the years and got to see it flourish and continue to develop into an amazing walking park! There is plenty of seating and more than enough parking spaces. This little park is one of many along the Ohio and Erie Canal where you can see the old unused lock systems. You can actually see and walk over one of the old locks. It is situated right in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley approximately one block from Akron's downtown district. In fact if you walk all the way through this park you will end up walking over the Martin Luther King Jr. Freeway and right into Downtown. The park is actually part of the Ohio Erie Canal Towpath Trail which goes all the way to Cleveland!. This is one of easily 100 parks located within the Cuyahoga Valley. The valley itself also stretches from Akron all the way to Cleveland too! Many many things to see. It would take literally days to see every park so if your from out of state or country definitely plan ahead.

This place was a great find while exploring Akron. A lot of history to read about. The canal is still in exceptional shape given the age. The store/museum was interesting and had a staff of two to answer any questions and they were very friendly. There are restrooms available. There is also a bike repair stand since this is located in a bike trail. Would definitely stop here again next trip to Akron.

Nice little park. Saw the sculpture while riding the train, figured it was close enough that we could just swing by. Lots of great information on the signs. Plenty of parking.
