2026 Update: They offer a large pavilion that can accommodate up to 144 people, suitable for company outings, family gatherings, and special events. Turkeyfoot Lake Golf Links is an 18-hole public golf course with tree-lined fairways and maintained greens, providing a setting for golf outings and tournaments. The facility also includes a pro shop that carries a selection of golf equipment and apparel. Stay-and-play packages are available in partnership with nearby hotels. Customers can join the E-Club to receive updates on news, offers, and upcoming events, and online booking is available at all times. Tee times can be booked online at any time, 24/7, to access the best available."

"Mud Run Golf Course & Driving Range is a 9-hole course designed by Craig Schreiner, ASGCA, and has been referred to as a slice of North Carolina's 'low country' golf. The par-34 golf course has 5 sets of tees that can accommodate golfers from beginners to the most skilled players. The 9-hole golf course sits on 85 acres, surrounded by wetlands and woods. They have a practice facility that includes one of Akron’s best driving ranges and 2 practice putting/chipping greens. The property includes a covered pavilion for golf outings and a beautiful 4,000-square-foot clubhouse that houses a snack bar and golf shop. They also offer electric carts and pull carts for their customers.

2026 Update: Tee times can be booked for golfing sessions. They also serve as the headquarters for First Tee – Greater Akron, a youth development organization that helps children build character and confidence through learning experiences. The golf course provides video flyovers to help players understand the course better. The venue hosts tournaments, outings, events, and leagues, and supports planning and coordination for group activities. It offers both grass tees and mat hitting areas. A snack bar is available with a selection of food, drinks, and snacks."

"Raymond C. Firestone Public 9 is the finest manicured public facility maintained to the high standards of the world-famous Firestone Country Club. The 3008-yard, par 35, nine-hole golf course is a perfect venue for players of all abilities. The sloping, fast greens and rolling terrain make this a course that challenges even the very best golfers. They offer players the ability to play golf in two hours or less and advocate that nine holes of golf is the perfect number of holes for the majority of golfers. The four sets of tees allow players to play the course at a length that suits their game and makes for an enjoyable experience.

2026 Update: The golf course offers 17 heated stalls and is open throughout the year. It is owned and operated by Firestone Country Club and has been in operation for over 31 years. Haven't played here in about 20 years. Totally impressed with the conditions. Great course, short, but extremely tough greens! Staff was very friendly, was a bit slow but could have just been the day. Still got around in 4.5 hours. Beautiful sights out on the portage lakes.

Really well kept course. Fairways and greens were first rate. Challenging layout. Everyone was very friendly. Played a bit slow, but they had a good crowd this Friday so that's to be expected and we want them to make money and invest in course. Hope I get back soon .

I’m a relative newbie to golf, but this course was in incredible condition. The greens and fairways were near perfect conditions and almost look artificial. It’s a challenging course, but if you have some patience, a ton of fun.

Great, short nine hole course. Always well maintained. Greens roll true throughout the year, deceptively fast and more break than expected. Fairways always in great shape. Very nice driving range. Awesome practice putting green. Great little clubhouse with good food and drink prices. A fun, well maintained nine holes of golf. It’s a public owned course and First Tee course. Lucky to have in area. Course can hold rain, since it is built around marsh. And play can definitely back up. Wouldn’t go here trying to golf super fast.

What a great little golf course! I do like 18 holes better than 9 but, still what a great place. Staff in the clubhouse is very friendly. Me and my dad had a absolute blast. Have to see how it is when I play golf myself. Will be back here soon.

It's a great value. Not the most prestigious course in the area, but accessible, affordable, and they host many programs for youth and the community which is great for all of us as a whole.

It's one of my favorite places to play. The course is always in good shape and the staff is great. Must play Monday's are great. From open till 330 PM its only $15 for 9 and a cart. You can't get that price for a nicer course anywhere.

Great little course. Challenging without beating you up. In great shape. Friendly staff. The carts are in great shape too. Easy in, easy out. About 2 hours of very good golf at s reasonable price.

Impressive golf course. Friendly staff and great food.
