"Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden aims to create and maintain a public space that promotes the art, enjoyment, and knowledge of horticulture while also providing opportunities for education and research. The garden is a 66-acre spectacular show garden that showcases unique annual flowers. The garden comprises two estates, the DeGolyer estate and the Camp estate. The garden contains an outdoor concert series with magnificent floral displays on Thursday evenings and various water features. Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden attracts over 541,000 visitors from 50 countries that passed through its doors last year. The garden offers the public an additional set of dedicated gardens, various famous annual events, educational programs, and family-oriented activities. The garden has planned over 700 weddings and private events held each year. Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden provides 12 free tours of the Rory Meyers Adventure Garden for children. Here, members can enjoy free admission to the garden.

"Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza is housed in the former Texas School Book Depository building, where evidence of a sniper was found after President Kennedy's assassination on November 22, 1963. The museum is on downtown Dallas's sixth floor of the Dallas County Administration Building. The museum features historic films, photographs, artifacts, and interpretive displays and explores the life, times, death, and legacy of United States President John F. Kennedy. Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza presents the political and social context of the early 1960s, chronicles President Kennedy's assassination and aftermath, and focuses on his lasting impact on the country and the world. Audio guides are available in eight languages, including ASL. The Sixth Floor Museum affords free admission for children aged 0-5.

2026 Update: Visitors can explore Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza at their own pace without a tour guide (self-guided), and it typically takes about 90 minutes to view the entire exhibit."

DALLAS ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDEN REVIEWS

Spending the day at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens with my girlfriend was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, we were surrounded by vibrant blooms, peaceful walkways, and a calmness that made us feel like we were in our own little world. We explored the gardens together, stopping often to admire the colors and take photos. The tulip displays were stunning, and the views of White Rock Lake added a serene backdrop to our stroll. It felt like time slowed down — just the two of us enjoying nature, laughing, and talking without any distractions. Watching her smile under the sun and seeing her light up with every new flower or hidden path we discovered made me fall for her even more. If you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to connect with someone you love, the Dallas Arboretum is perfect. It was one of those days I’ll always remember — simple, sweet, and full of love.

Absolutely beautiful and highly walkable. This is a must see when you are in Dallas. In the springtime there are specific weeks when tulips are in bloom, then azaleas, then rhododendrons, then roses... It's a magical place. One of the best layouts of any botanical garden I've been to, and I live in New York, so I regularly visit outstanding Gardens such as Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, Old Westbury Gardens, Planting Fields Arboretum and Bayard Cutting Arboretum are the standard fare for me, and that's a very high standard. Dallas should be very proud of this testament to beautiful gardens.

What a beautiful garden (or group of gardens!) We may have visited at the most gorgeous time of year as the Azalea and Wisteria were in bloom, as were many bulbs, especially tulips. The meandering paths had benches to relax and gaze upon all the beauty, including the large lake. There are many fountains, water features such as waterfalls, statues and covered gazebos to escape a light shower. I would definitely visit again! Also, they were setting up for a food and wine festival even that we wish we could have stayed for, but it was a few hours out when we were ready to leave.

DALLAS MUSEUM OF ART REVIEWS

The Dallas Museum of Art is one of the best spots in the city for art lovers. The collection is incredibly diverse—everything from ancient Roman artifacts to European masterpieces, American classics, African and Asian art, and bold contemporary pieces. The museum is huge, and it’s easy to get turned around, but that’s part of the fun—there’s always something new to stumble upon. Best of all, general admission is free! You only need to pay for special exhibits. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Dallas.

The best part - it is free entry (except for a very few exhibitions or ongoing events). The museum is full of artifacts from around the world - very ancient to relatively modern. One definitely feels a little awed when you see something which has survived 4500 years!!! Take kids along, it is a nice educational experience. All in, at a leisurely pace, it would take about 2 hours.

Beautiful display and tehy have special events. The staff is very welcoming and they guide you. I have been by myself and with groups and it has been a great experience. The art exhibitions are wonderful. I love them.

SIXTH FLOOR MUSEUM AT DEALEY PLAZA REVIEWS

Wow does this museum have a lot to offer! The exhibits are very descriptive and informational. Instead of trying to grab your attention, they inform you and provide a lot of detail for those who are interested in the entire picture. The museum provides context around the assassination and not just the details of the event itself. Furthermore, they use a variety of mediums to convey the information, including videos and photos and objects. Tickets are a bit pricy, but worth the price. I did not pay for my tickets in advance, but it was super easy to pay for them ahead of time. Heads up: drinks aren’t allowed in the museum, but they will let you keep them with you as long as they are kept closed.

The Sixth Floor Museum is a must visit for anyone interested in history. It does a fantastic job of honoring the life of JFK. Standing in the very place where such a pivotal moment in history unfolded is truly surreal. We purchased our tickets in advance, which made entry super easy, and parking was conveniently located right behind the building. A well organized and thought provoking museum that’s definitely worth a visit.

Make time for this experience! Surreal to physically be where Oswald was when he chose to end JFK’s life. This place was expertly managed to control the flow of visitors and be available for information. The layout is well done and speaks or connects with most generations. Was surprised to learn new facts and got teary over remembering the tragedy. Dedicated paid parking lot, very ADA friendly and group friendly.
