"Science Spectrum & OMNI Theater is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational corporation home to over 250 hands-on interactive science exhibits, live science shows, and the only aquarium in West Texas. The museum is an educational hub with science and technology exhibits, classes, an aquarium, and a 55-foot dome movie screen. Science Spectrum & OMNI Theater is the place for the pursuit of exploration and scientific education. “American Windmill Museum aims to help various audiences learn about how people have used and continue to use human creativity to harness the wind for survival in various environments. The museum is widely known as the place to go to see windmills. The museum features more than 160 American-style windmills. Before establishing the museum, the collections were kept in storage until 1997, when the city of Lubbock approved a site for the museum. The collection was transferred to this new location by Harris and volunteers. On the grounds and within a small display house, windmills were erected. Visitors can explore more than a hundred rare and historic water-pumping windmills that are displayed within the museum. The American Windmill Museum is free for children under five.”

BUDDY HOLLY CENTER REVIEWS

Love it... great historical significance to early pioneering in rock and roll for the late Buddy Holly...lots of his items in their museum showroom, and enjoyable experience, with music there on special days... Buddy's family sometimes comes up there on special anniversaries of Buddy's! Also a great gift shop with many rock and roll-top gifts.

Lubbock Texas is such a great town! So much has happened in this corner of the USA! I really love the vibe of this place and can't wait to go back. Great place and amazing history! I love love love this genre of music! RIP Buddy!!!.

The staff were friendly and gave extra tidbits of information which we appreciated. The center is very clean and the displays are great. It takes 30-40 minutes just strolling and reading. Would recommend!.

SCIENCE SPECTRUM & OMNI THEATER REVIEWS

What a great resource to share with other families in Lubbock, Texas. It's a joy to see parents introducing their children to science at any age, and the whole experience is very tailored no matter how old the kids, parents, grandparents, and extended family are. The Omni Theater alone is worth a dive start review. Such a cool resource to enjoy panoramic, educational film experiences from around the world, right here in little ole Lubbock.

What a fun and memorable day! We took our 8-year-old grandson, who was visiting from out of state, and he loved every minute of it. From hands-on science exhibits to the exciting OMNI Theater experience, there was something for all of us to enjoy. It was educational, interactive, and just plain fun. We all had a blast adults included! Highly recommend this place for families looking to make great memories together.

Amazing! Was in town visiting my sister and we took the kids. They could have played for hours more.

AMERICAN WINDMILL MUSEUM REVIEWS

This is one of my favorite museums I've been to lately. I was surprised how interesting everything was. I learned a lot more than I thought I would about not just windmills, but everything associated with them. The staff were super friendly and informative as well. It's pretty large, mainly to fit some of the exhibits, but everything is nicely labeled and organized. The model trains they have are also fun to see, and do tie into the windmill theme. Definitely worth a look if you're in Lubbock.

Great place by vibe and collections. Models of trains, towns, miniature homes, windmills of all kinds and different countries. I learned very interesting things about about windmills I never thought about. Lovely, recommended.

Amazing museum, lots of really neat things. Very inexpensive, great place to take the kids.
