GILBERT HOUSE CHILDREN'S MUSEUM REVIEWS
Great place for your little ones to play and explore and learn! There are so many different themed play areas, both outdoors and indoors. Outside there are slides and sand/dirt boxes, steps to climb, forts to duck into, a big mammoth skeleton to examine, and more. Also lots of benches and tables for parents to sit/eat at. Inside there are a bunch of themed rooms incl a farm, a doctors office, outer space, a submarine, an airport, and more. One room has metal walls and a bunch of magnetic ball tracks that can be experimented with. Our little guy loved it. We stayed until we all got too hungry hahaha.
Good amount of fun for kids. Good combo of outdoor and indoor activities. Also, friendly staff, reasonably priced, easy parking. What more could you need for a day off family fun.
Easily the best children's museum I've been to. The playground alone is incredible. Each house has fun and interesting things that my kids loved.

POWERLAND HERITAGE PARK REVIEWS
Went for the train ride on their open house, and I was expecting a crowd. But sadly we were the only ones there. Which is a shame cause this place was great. Was a great place to take my toddler who loves trains, and firetrucks, and everything like that. We had a great train ride, and walked around the grounds. There was plenty to see. Had a picnic and everything. Be sure to buy something!
My family went to the Steam Up at the Powerland Heritage Park last weekend. It was really interesting looking at all the steam powered vehicles and old technology. The miniature trains were my favorite part though. The train ride was so much fun for the kids and adults (though the seat was a bit small for me). You could tell that it wasn't just a "ride." There was some major love and care put into the train models and building models along the tracks.
Special gem. Much to explore! Bring dollar bills for donation to various privately owned little museums! The kids loved the train rides!
