'Hudson River Museum' is an essential cultural establishment in Westchester County and a multidisciplinary complex that represents its identity from its site on the Hudson River banks', endeavoring to broaden the social horizons of all its visitants. HRM collections concentrate on the 19th-century through modern American Art; Glenview, an 1876 house on the National Register of Historic Places, such as Hudson Riverama, an environmental teaching gallery; a state-of-the-art, 120-seat planetarium & a 400-seat outdoor amphitheater. HRM has an artful and unique ambiance to host your next event. From cocktail parties and intimate dinners to corporate gatherings, the HRM has a variety of spaces for your rental requirements. The Museum usually features professional artist workshops and classes in conjunction with special exhibitions & collections, in a myriad of visual or performing art mediums. HRM also features hands-on Family Studio: Art workshops every Saturday and Sunday.

Philipse Manor Hall State Historic Site serves as a museum of art, history, and architecture, as well as host to community groups, educational programs, meetings, and community-oriented events. Historical highlights of the Hall include its 18th century, high-style Georgian building, a rare 1750s paper-mâché Rococo ceiling & one of the only presidential portrait collections in existence, including six presidents from NY state. A Community Gallery was built at Philipse Manor Hall to display materials that support the Manor Hall's programs and services related to the local community. Exhibit policy and applications are available at the administrative office. Both individuals and organizations are welcome to apply.

The Science Barge, a program of Groundwork Hudson Valley, is a self-sustaining floating hydroponics farm and education center, conveniently located in downtown Yonkers. You can visit them on the weekends from April to November or book them for your next school trip. They are currently scheduling school and camp field trips for spring and summer (Monday to Friday). They also offer free admission to children ages 10 or younger. Metered parking is available here. The Science Barge is easily accessible from the Metro-North Hudson line.
