HUDSON RIVER MUSEUM REVIEWS
I have visited the Hudson River Museum twice, and have enjoyed my visit both times. This time around, I was thrilled to see the museum's new West Wing gallery space. The views of the water, coupled with its expansive-ness made the space feel so calm allowing for introspection of the art. The exhibits are dynamic, and I love how they swing between contemporary works and classical works; there is a lot to look at! I also enjoy some of the interactive elements that allow visitors to engage with the space. I'm looking forward to visiting again in the future! This museum is great for kids, especially during events. The staff were friendly, and the space was very well kept and organized. The museum's parking lot is a bit small, which makes it difficult to park during rush days. I would recommend parking somewhere on the block near the museum - you get a chance to look at some awesome, Victorian style houses across the street! The planetarium experience was alright. Since I visited during Lunar New Year, I was expecting something special for the planetarium show The Sky Tonight. It was more like a general astronomy class rather than an awe inspiring, interactive experience like at the Museum of Natural History. I recommend doing more research on the shows so you find something that interests you rather than the general version of the show, unless you're looking to learn the basics about stars.
What a perfect little gem. I was very surprised to not see this museum more crowded. But nonetheless enjoyed the solitude it provided. The art pieces are a mix of old (such as a Matisse rug and a Andy Warhol piece) and very new artists. And they showcased a lot of LGBTQI+ artists. The structure itself is very modern with a cement staircase running in the middle. There were also showcases of historical local astronomers/public figures such as Lewis Morris Rutherfurd and Maria Mitchell. My Favorite exhibition was the Mendoza bookstore. Thoroughly enjoyed the museum. There’s also an option to purchase a tour of the glenview mansion. Which deserves a review on its own right. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was great to spend time learning and viewing the beauty of life in the Hudson valley.
Gorgeous museum with something for everyone. There are oil paintings, modern art, historical pieces and several kid-friendly sections including a planetarium. A lovely, grassy courtyard with some chairs is a great spot to get some fresh air and eat food you brought. There's no cafe on site, though some snacks and drinks are sold in the gift shop. There are also tours of the antique mansion next door to the main museum building. Can't recommend this place enough.

PHILIPSE MANOR HALL STATE REVIEWS
What a wonderful, inviting atmosphere with a patient, kind and knowledgeable staff! We visited on a weekday afternoon, and the staff was so pleasant. We arrived an hour early for the 3pm historical tour, and the docent brought us to a really cool open room to play old-fashioned games with our children. Obviously it is still a 340 year old home so children need to behave accordingly and not run around touching everything, but I found it to be balanced with letting children be children and still enforcing the respect and decorum due the building. In terms of history, I found this place to be again - balanced. There is no such thing as neutral; everyone carries a worldview with them as they interpret the facts. That said, this was a well-balanced presentation of the history of this local area without tainting it with too many present-day politically driven interpretations. I would highly recommend this as an educational visit and the tour is definitely vital to getting a feel for the history. The display right in the entry way with the indigenous man, the Dutch woman and the African man, along with the map depicting global trade were beautiful. Seeing the complicated history of how I came to be formally in a museum setting was very validating. My mom always told me this history, but I have yet to see it on display like this in any history museums. Usually, the complex history is compartmentalized or one culture is emphasized over the other. There is a small parking lot where we were able to park both of our cars, the bathrooms are impeccably kept and easily acce
Loved the new exhibit and the tour! It was informative, inclusive and thought-provoking and the staff are passionate about the history and share it with their visitors! A real gem!
Beautiful historical site. They offer several events each month including Revolutionary War era reenactments.

GREENBURGH NATURE CENTER REVIEWS
Awesome place, even on a particularly cloudy day. So much to see. Nature centred Playground, extensive easy hiking trails, and did I mention geocaching. Plenty of parking, picnic areas, butterfly garden, so many sights and things to see I can’t list them all. Great for adults and kids a like. It’s like a little slice of heaven away from busy roads, and busy life. We all need a bit of fresh air like this once in a while, right.
