I called NewStudio seeking a referral for a contractor because I didn't think my project was "architect-worthy". However, after talking to Melissa Martyr, the operations manager, I hired the team for a kitchen remodel. The architects and interior designers at NewStudio are creative problem solvers with the expertise to work around the quirks of a 1930s home. I was able to provide input when and where I wanted so the process ended up very collaborative. I also appreciate how NewStudio worked within my budget. I look forward to working with them again!
We decided to use NewStudio for the design of our new offices after being impressed with the vision and creativity they displayed in designing their own space. I highly recommend DHD Studio. We have worked with them on multiple projects at both a 100 year old Craftsman style house in St. Paul and a contemporary condo in Minneapolis. No matter the size of the project, David, Michael and the rest of team were professional, creative, and attentive to our needs and opinions. We were always more than pleased with the results. David has impeccable taste and excellent relationships with craftspeople and artisans who can execute the vision. I would especially call out David's work on furniture layouts in challenging spaces, and fabric selections as well as paint colors and wallpaper.
David and the team at DHD Studio are incredible. They did all the design work for our 1908 American Foursquare in Saint Paul. Tim helped us evaluate potential houses prior to putting in bids--general structural quality, remodel ideas and feasibility. It turned out to be virtually a whole house remodel. We really feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Tim. He completely understood what we were trying to accomplish, and came up with a number of creative ideas that were far ahead of what we were thinking. His ideas for ways to make the house work for us have all been right on the mark (even the ones of which we were initially skeptical). Three years later, we love our house!
It was a pleasure to work with Tim. He brings a breadth of experience to the table.
